Fair and Balanced

If you were to ask a Democrat, liberal, lefty, or any other creature of the night which news network is the most slanted to either the right or the left, the answer would no doubt be the Fox News Channel. The Left has many names for Fox, none of which I wish to repeat here, but one thing they resoundingly agree on is that Fox News is extremely rightwing.

But Fox News advertises that they are Fair and Balanced.

Are they?

Well, according to a recent study at George Mason University's Center for Media and Public Affairs (CMPA), Fox News is in fact the most Fair and Balanced network out there.

By the way, overall, the study reported that Hillary Clinton was the candidate most negatively reported (60 percent of the time).

[what a surprise!]

Wow. And if you were to listen to the lefties, you'd think Fox News was hardly the most balanced.

Hmmm, I wonder if that's why Fox News has the best ratings. Could it be because they are actually [gasp] - - - honest in their reporting.

By the way, for those of you that have been waiting for me to give up my recipe for Albondigas Soup - it's posted on my Defender of the Blahs blog.

Those Rascally Democrats! John Kerry, the New England Patriots, and the National Football League

Congress is on break, again, until January 18th. But that's okay. With all that hard work they do they need a break, right? Below is Uncle Jay back in July explaining why Congress needs so many days off:

But there is one Democrat that has recently made the news for all of his hard work. You may recognize his name: John Kerry. Why is Mr. Kerry in the news? Seems that Senator John Kerry is an avid football fan, specifically a fan of the New England Patriots (hmmmm, Senator from Massachusetts, okay, that makes sense). Well, the Patriots are one game away from an undefeated season, and another march through the record books. And John Kerry is going to make sure that we all have the chance to see the game. Kerry asked football commissioner Roger Goodell to move the game to NBC from the NFL Network (so that we can all watch the game), and threatened Senate hearings if he does not do as asked.

Talk about a misuse of political power.

Ahhh, wait, that's typical Democrats in action. They always misuse their power and make gains by making threats.

Typical.

Pakistani Opposition Leader Benazir Bhutto Assassinated

Pakistan's former Prime Minister, and only female leader in history, Benaizir Bhutto, was assassinated today. She was shot in the neck and chest at a campaign rally, and then the attacker blew himself up killing at least 20 other people.

Bhutto and her husband, Asif Ali Zardari, were recently convicted by a Pakistani court on corruption charges, but considering the fact that Bhutto is a woman leader in an Islamic country trying to change the status quo, I believe it may very well be that the charges were fabricated, or at least inflated.

Nonetheless, Bhutto was a champion for Democracy, and a precious American asset. It is believed the assassination was orchestrated by al-Qaida. This killing of the 54 year old two-time prime minster has triggered mass protests and violence across Pakistan. The concern is over the fact that Pakistan is home to 60 nuclear warheads, and if the Islamic Jihad gains control over the country during this time of chaos, a marriage of those nuclear warheads with Iran's recently purchased Surface to Air Missile system from Russia is a strong possibility.

Current president Musharaf may not have to endure an election only ten days away since it is likely the election will be postponed due to this assassination and the unrest in Pakistan. With Bhutto gone, Musharaf is undoubtedly the next target. The United States has supplied Musharaf with billions of dollars in aid in order to keep him in power so that he may stave off the Jihadists, but for the most part he has been simply paying us lip service. Jihadists have infiltrated Pakistan's military and secret police, and now that they have assassinated Bhutto, Musharaf no doubt has a huge bull's eye on his back. If Musharaf doesn't get in line with NATO and the U.S. soon he may wind up in a pine box himself, and Pakistan, and her 60 nuclear warheads, may wind up in the hands of the Islamic Jihad.

9/11 is a walk in the park compared to what we may face if the Jihadists get their hands on nuclear weapons.

Political Pistachio Radio made Bhutto's assassination the topic of conversation last night.

In the name of tolerance

Today while driving home from work I saw a curious bumper sticker. It read, "Too many Christians, not enough lions."

Okay, a little history lesson.

In the early days of Christianity, after the Catholic Church had sealed its pact with the Roman Government, underground Christians, or Paulicians, were heavily persecuted for refusing to allow their faith to be controlled by the government. In those days Rome, in order to satisfy the public's lust for violence, threw these renegade Christians into the Roman coliseum to be eaten alive by animals, including Lions, in front of sold out crowds. Why were these Christians doomed to death? Many historians believe that the biggest reason behind this unthinkable brutality was the nature of their message. The Christians dared to place God above the government, and they dared to carry on the same message that got Jesus killed. Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)

Okay, back to the bumper sticker. "So many Christians, not enough lions." From a historical standpoint lions were an instrument of death against Christians, so in a sense, this bumper sticker is proclaiming that the driver desires death to be applied to Christians.

Am I over-reacting?

It is only a bumper sticker. Right?

But what if it said "So many Jews, not enough Nazis." or "So many Muslims, not enough bullets." Or what if the bumper sticker had said, "So many gays, not enough AIDS cases."

In this post-9/11 world Islam is treated so tenderly that any time Muslims demand a concession, everyone bends over backwards to provide them. Example? In a traditionally Polish Catholic enclave in Hamtramck, Michigan, the noise ordinance has been altered to allow local mosques to blast the Muslim call to prayer from loudspeakers. Society has determined that in this all inclusive, tolerant society, everyone is accepted - except Christianity.

Liberal secular crusaders treat Christianity as if it was second-hand smoke from cigarettes that should be segregated, hidden, and wherever possible in the public eye - banned. They wish Christians to take their religion inside, indoors out of sight, practiced as if it was sex, in the privacy of one's own home or private church. The bumper sticker may seem to be merely a harmless joke to the secular liberals, but it is a perfect example of society's willingness to be hostile toward Christians. However, such hostility to another world religion would not be tolerated, and in fact, such a bumper sticker pointed at any other group would be considered tasteless, and intolerant.

The ACLU argues that symbols of Christianity can't be permitted in public places, and that our children cannot freely express their faith in the public school system. This same ACLU that proclaims that Christian symbols in public places are offensive also defends as freedom of expression Andre Serrano, who placed a crucifix in a jar of his own urine and called it art.

In the name of tolerance Christianity has been censored. The secular liberals claim they are in favor of freedom of speech. Yeah, right - - - freedom of speech for pornographers, illegal aliens, drug addicts, Jihad supporting Islamists, and so forth - but not freedom of speech for Christians.

Sorry, I didn't find the bumper sticker funny at all. Proclaiming that you wish me dead by being devoured by a wild animal is not funny to me at all.

An E-Mail letter From Iraq

For those of you not familiar with him, SkyDiveRick is a longtime friend of mine, dating back to my Navy days. When he was in the U.S. Navy, Rick was a Navy SEAL, and an inspiration to me as I struggled through rehabilitation after my accident. Together, we beat the odds, and returned to active duty. I wound up later discharged medically after I failed to serve in the manner that I and my doctors believed I could. Rick remained in the U.S. Navy as a SEAL to continue a long and heroic career. In September he was called to serve again. Due to the confidential nature of the mission, I don't even know if he was reactivated as active military, or went as an independent contractor in a capacity not much unlike Blackwater USA. Regardless of how or why he is there, I recognize him as yet another hero defending our liberty. I received this e-mail from him today, and I thought you all would appreciate the opportunity to read it.

The subject line read: Merry Christmas from Iraq

Doug,

You are one of only a few e-mail contacts I have that I can remember the address to, so I guess this is for you and the readers I am sure you will share this with. I know that I haven't written at all from Iraq. For me, Internet access is a rare privilege.

Since it is coming up on Christmas, I thought it would be nice to let everyone know that I am still alive and kicking. Honestly, there's really not much to write about. Part of the reason for that is the classified nature of my work, and also because the successes here make it more or less boring, rather than it being like a war zone, so there isn't too many spectacular things to talk about. Don't get me wrong, it isn't a bed of daisies, but it isn't the seething cesspool of failure the idiots on the left make it out to be either.

Work here is constant, sleep is a luxury I occasionally enjoy. Even though the success of the increase of personnel (surge) has made Iraq more manageable, I would be a liar if I stated that what the insurgents are up to has ceased. Problems and frictions still crop up, and often faster than one can expect. And each time such a situation rises, in this landscape every challenge requires an immediate response. Be rest assured that each and every member of our armed services are up to that challenge, and the Iraqi Security Force is slowly beginning to manage their own sections as well.

I hope you all are doing well. I can't wait to return so that I may be able to drink a cold beer from my fridge, flush a toilet, watch TV, and spend time at my computer writing on my blog.

I'll try to write again soon, whenever the opportunity arises.

I promise.

Your friend,

Rick

Putin is chosen to be the Person of the Year by Time Magazine

The Person of the Year as chosen by Time, I always thought, was supposed to be the person that most affected the world during the year in a positive way. In other words, tyrants with the goal of returning a nation back to the days of oppression against the citizens ought not be the choice.

Vladimir Putin is a former KGB operative that openly supports Iran, and continuously bashes The West. In my opinion, the man is still KGB, and we are in the infancy of the second Cold War. Essentially, Time Magazine is honoring Vladimir Putin for being anti-American. That's like the Dog Lovers of America honoring Michael Vick, the football player that got in trouble for dog fighting.

Putin is not the Person of the Year.

Al Gore seems to think he should be the Person of the Year. In fact, Al Gore has filed lawsuits alleging that the Time Magazine Person of the Year voting was tampered with (Florida all over again?). Gosh, I guess winning an Emmy, Oscar, and Nobel Peace prize for imaginary science using inaccurate numbers, models, and. . . well, refusing to recognize the obvious, wasn't enough. Al Gore wishes for one more undeserved honor.

You know, in my opinion, the Person of the Year should be the person that had the greatest positive impact on the world, and in my eyes, that person is General David Petraeus.

Child Predators - How Do You Really Know?

This post is re-posted from Warriors For Innocence. Please Visit the Site to Learn More, or tune in Wednesday, December 19, 2007 to Political Pistachio Radio, to learn more about this fight against the monsters that hunt our children.

By Sues from Warriors of Innocence dot Org.

I’m often asked, “How can I spot a child predator, pedophile, or child molester? How do I really know?”

After reading our Grooming Articles, you’ll have some really great information at your fingertips that will help you recognize the behaviors of these predators.
Education really is the key to preventing these monsters from gaining access to our children. These guys rely on you NOT knowing how they operate and act. Our goal is to stop that from happening.

So how do you really know if someone is a threat? The problem is, you don’t. You can suspect, deter, and prevent, but you may never really know. Child predators are master manipulators and expert liars. They befriend the parents only so they can access their children.

You can’t point your finger at everyone who has the traits of a child predator. But you can trust your instincts and your gut. If it feels wrong, or if someone is suspicious, then keep them away from your children. Keeping your kids safe does not require labeling someone as a pedophile.

80-95% of all child abuse goes unreported. Children do not feel comfortable talking about abuse. Predators use this and will groom the child and manipulate them into not reporting it. It is not unusual for the child to develop feelings for the predator, and to want their approval. They will give up their ability to tell good from bad. This will end up justifying the molester’s behavior. Children are vulnerable and not physically capable of stopping abuse. Parents need to be the barrier that protects the children from predators.

Remember, in most cases, either the child or the parent knows the abuser. Don’t accept inappropriate behavior from anyone. Ever. Do not be confused by charm, intimidation, or justification. Don’t let others control the situation or cross the line of acceptable behavior. Learning to say “no” in a polite but assertive manner will not hinder friendships. It will, however, deter molesters. Child molesters will not waste their time on parents who refuse to accept their charm.

Predators have had the advantage for far too long. It’s time that we all stand up and do something to stop them.

Read all of our Grooming Articles here.

Once Again, the author of this piece, and the owner of Warriors For Innocence, will be my guest on Political Pistachio Radio on Wednesday, December 19th at 10pm Eastern Time. Be educated! Do Not Miss This Broadcast!

New Jersey Abolishes the Death Penalty

A couple days ago New Jersey became the 14h state to no longer have the death penalty. The last states to abolish the death penalty were West Virginia and Iowa in 1965. The ban of the death penalty in New Jersey means that the most severe penalty for convicted murderers in the state, including the eight men currently on the state's death row, is life in prison. The last inmate put to death in New Jersey was in 1963.

One of the inmates that was on death row in New Jersey before this bill was passed was Jesse Timmendequas. Jesse Timmendequas is known for committing the murder of 7-year-old Megan Kanka in 1994. This horrific murder led to reforms in tracking sex offenders, known as Megan's Law. New Jersey's Megan's Law requires local law enforcement agencies to give notification when convicted sex offenders live or work in neighborhoods. Now, because of this elimination of the death penalty in New Jersey, Jesse Timmendequas will be allowed to continue to live, living peacefully on the taxpayer's dime in prison. And, I have a feeling that his dog and pony act in prison will eventually lead to his release. I don't know about you, but I don't want that scumbag on the streets again, and society would be much safer if he was just removed from society.

New Jersey lawmakers, apparently, disagree.

If your child, your sweet little girl, was molested and killed by a sicko like Jesse Timmendequas do you think that life in prison is an adequate punishment? Should such a person be allowed to live so that they can strike again? Doesn't eliminating the death penalty also take away one of the deterrents for such a crime?

Makes me sick.

How a few wish to decide for many

Britain has been signed away. Foreign Secretary David Miliband signed the hated European Union Treaty, even though Britain's voters have proclaimed that they wished their leaders to say no to the treaty.

The treaty allows the European Union to make laws over Britain's right to make their own laws, allows for illegal immigrants to receive the same rights as the citizens, and any legal matter may be relayed to the European Court of Justice, giving final say of British matters to unelected European Community judges. Critics of the EU Treaty claim that it is no different than the ill-fated EU Constitution which died two years ago after French and Dutch rejections.

This treaty also puts in place a powerful permanent EU president and foreign minister. Essentially, the powers of the European Union will be handed to unelected bureaucrats and judges. The British people were not given the opportunity to vote on the EU Treaty, and are specifically angry over a number of provisions in the treaty that essentially hands immigrants more powers, and takes away the advantages of British citizenship.

Are we next? How feasible is the North American Union? Is Bush completely insane with his globalist push?

The following are the EU treaty rules that are considered to be controversial by the British voters:

ARTICLE 19:
1. Collective expulsions are prohibited.
2. No one may be removed, expelled or extradited to a State where there is a serious risk that he or she would be subjected to the death penalty, torture or other inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
ARTICLE 4:
No one shall be subjected to torture or to inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
ARTICLE 7:
Everyone has the right to respect for his or her private and family life, home and communications.
ARTICLE 15:
1. Everyone has the right to engage in work and to pursue a freely chosen or accepted occupation.
2. Every citizen of the Union has the freedom to seek employment, to work, exercise the right of establishment and provide services in any Member State.
3. Nationals of third countries authorised to work in the territories of the Member States are entitled to working conditions equivalent to those of citizens of the Union.
ARTICLE 16:
The freedom to conduct a business in accordance with Community law and national laws and practices is recognised.
ARTICLE 18:
The right to asylum shall be guaranteed with due respect for the rules of the Geneva Convention of 28 July 1951 and the New York Protocol of 31 January 1967 relating to the status of refugees and in accordance with the Treaty establishing the European Community.
ARTICLE 45:
1. Every citizen of the Union has the right to move and reside freely within the territory of the Member States.
2. Freedom of movement and residence may be granted, in accordance with the Treaty establishing the European Community, nationals of third countries legally resident in the territory of a Member State.
ARTICLE 47:
1. Everyone whose rights and freedoms guaranteed by the law of the Union are violated has the right to an effective remedy before a tribunal in compliance with the conditions laid down in this Article.
2. Everyone is entitled to a fair and public hearing within a reasonable time by an independent and impartial tribunal previously established by law. Everyone shall have the possibility of being advised, defended and represented.

Lawsuit Filed Against A Teacher For Making Offensive Statements Regarding Christianity!

The War on CHRISTmas, and against Christianity, has now been stepped up.

At Capistrano Valley High School in Southern California a student, Chad Farnan, has made the claim that one of his teachers violated his constitutional rights with "highly inappropriate" and offensive statements regarding Christianity in the classroom. The teacher, James Corbett, has a history of making statements against conservatives and Christians in his classroom. The teacher has made it clear, to his students, that he feels a sense of hostility toward religion, and that he was not afraid to vocalize his opinions in the classroom. Christian students in Mr. Corbett's European History class felt ostracized, and felt they were being treated as if they were second class citizens.

One day, to help with his note taking, and at the urging of his mother so that they may capture some of the teacher's statements, Chad Farnan decided to record his class discussions, and on that recording the teacher says a number of inappropriate statements. On one such recording the teacher said that "when you put on your Jesus glasses, you can't see the truth," that "religion is not connected with morality," he compared Christians to "Muslim fundamentalists" who want women to "stay pregnant, barefoot, and in the kitchen having babies until your body collapses," and suggested to the students that churchgoers are more likely to commit rape and murder.

Chad said of his teacher, "He's against Christianity and bashes it all the time. He's been indoctrinating us and not teaching the class; we don't need to be hearing his political views during school time when we should be learning."

Chad Farnan's parents contacted Advocates for Faith and Freedom, a non-profit organization located in the town of Murrieta east of Capistrano that is dedicated to "protecting religious liberty." The group filed a lawsuit on the family's behalf, believing that Mr. Corbett's behavior was in violation of the clause of the U.S. Constitution which requires government neutrality toward religion. The lawsuit requests removal of the teacher. If he is removed, no damages will be sought.

The school system has already taken away the students right to individual expression of faith (as noted by numerous school districts disallowing students to wear any clothing that may have Christian symbols, for example), but now these teachers believe that on top of taking away a Christian's individual right to express his or her faith, they think that they have the right to bash Christianity verbally to our children?

Honestly, this situation is pretty shocking, but no surprise. This is a blatant example of the indoctrination that our children go through in the public school system. Fact is, the U.S. Constitution not only requires that the government be neutral toward religion (of which this teacher is clearly in violation of), but also the U.S. Constitution requires that government shall not prohibit the free exercise of religion thereof. So, anytime a student is denied his or her individual right to express his or her religious beliefs in a school setting the school is also in violation of the U.S. Constitution.

Did I get that right, Mr. Gore?

A liberal moonbat that likes to hang out in chat rooms of Conservative BlogTalkRadio shows like Political Pistachio Radio made a comment a few shows back that caught me of guard when the subject turned to man-made Global Warming. He said, "Scientists that dispute global warming are being paid off by the oil companies."

It is so idiotic that I was unable to formulate a response at the time.

Such a statement runs in line with the "Bush Lied" argument. It is a favorite among the Leftist methods - Repeat a lie often enough, and it becomes the truth.

Well, my liberal friends, think about it. If every scientist in the world that ever disputed man-made global warming was on big oil payrolls, that would be some kind of payroll. And you would think, for the extra money, many of those scientists proclaiming that humans are at fault for temperature changes would jump ship in order to cash in as well.

Of course, there is also the overlooked point that there is no proof, no evidence, no data, and no documentation of any kind to support the claim that "all scientists disputing global warming are being paid off by big oil companies."

In the meantime, let's take a look at a few facts.

Global Warming says: Al Gore predicted that Hurricanes would become stronger and more frequent with each passing year because of Global Warming.

Fact: Hurricane predictions have missed the mark for the last two years since that prediction, humbling hurricane forecasters, and dumbfounding Global Warming Activists.

Global Warming says: Al Gore proclaimed that as the earth warms the winters will be warmer as well.

Fact: Ice storm causes blackouts, 27 deaths, and more icy weather is on the way. The Northeast is preparing to experience a double winter whammy, and winter has only just begun.

Global Warming says: Al Gore indicates that the international community must move now to combat global warming.

Fact: Skeptical Scientists urge world to have the courage to do nothing. Climate change, according to these scientists, is a non-problem, and the U.N. Conference is a complete waste of our time and your money, and we should no longer pay the slightest attention to the IPCC.

Global Warming says: There is a consensus. . .

Fact: Pope Benedict XVI has even launched a surprise attack on the clerics of Global Warming, saying that such ideas need to be based on firm evidence and not on dubious ideology. The Pope also indicated that Global Warming fears are nothing more than scare-mongering. People need to care for the environment, but not to the point where the welfare of animals and plants are given priority over mankind.

Global Warming says: Al Gore is doing all of this because he believes it is his duty to do whatever he can to save the planet.

Fact: Al Gore is under fire for making personal gain from his mission to save the planet.

Global Warming says: Mankind's greenhouse gas emissions is the main cause of Climate Change.

Fact: The sun, not man, is the main cause of any increase in global temperature.

Repeat a lie often enough, and it becomes the truth - or at least until common sense, and true science, proves it wrong.

I'll believe Mr. Gore that mankind can change the temperature of the entire planet by emitting less than one percent of the total amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere when Hell freezes over.

Iran Did Not Abandon Nuclear Weapons Ambitions in 2003!

Did any of you believe that recent U.S. intel report that stated Iran suspended its nuclear weapons ambitions in 2003? Neither did Israel. In fact, Israel has "incriminating" information Iran has continued its nuclear weapons program, directly contradicting last week's U.S. Intelligence Report. In fact, an Israeli security official who has access to classified Israeli defense material and intelligence reports on Iran says that Iran is also continuing the acquisition and development of missiles, and that the U.S. estimates fall way short. He also adds that he believes the U.S. intel is "politically motivated."

The official has further stated that Israel is "gravely concerned" that the U.S. Intelligence Report may remove the U.S. military option against Iran from the table, and is likely to be the foundation for Russian and Chinese vetoes against further sanctions on Iran scheduled to be discussed December 11th at the United Nations. This official said these things to a gentleman by the name of Aaron Klein.

Aaron Klein is the Jerusalem bureau chief for www.worldnetdaily.com and will be discussing the NIE and Iranian nuclear ambitions live from Israel on Political Pistachio Radio this coming Wednesday, December 12th, 2007.

You don't want to miss this interview!

Tune in at 10pm Eastern Time on Wednesday night live at Political Pistachio Radio - and join the chat room if you dare. The Dependency of America

American Conservatives preach that Republicanism, as shaped by Ronald Reagan, view humanity in an optimistic fashion. Humanity, according to Conservatives, have great potential. We are a people who can be better than we know that we can be. However, because humanity is flawed our governments must remain small, and such a government should be bound by contracts with the citizens known as constitutions. And also, because of the flaws of humanity, there must be checks and balances through an internal system of balanced powers. Political power should be decentralized, giving authority to state and local governments because they are closest to the people. Conservatives also believe that a free market economy works best when it comes to distributing goods and services, and that the government should stay out of the way of such. Taxes are a necessary evil, and money is required to allow the governement to function, but like the government, the taxes should be kept small, fair, and nonburdonsome.

This way of life, the American System under conservative leadership, should be protected by avoiding international alliances that seek to globalize government control. The nation's sovereignty should be fiercely protected by guarding the borders. The American Way of Life must cling tenaciously to the ways of the Founding Fathers, making sure that these values are impressed on the next generation.

Democrats, Liberals, or whatever you wish to call them, look at Americans as a people that cannot accomplish or overcome the obstacles of life. Americans are needy, encouraging the Democrats to help by deploying welfare policies and big-government benefit programs. Liberals look down upon people who claim they are self-reliant, feeling an arrogant condescension toward them, refusing to accept that we can lift each other up by teaching fellow Americans that they have the ability to do great things, without the government handing out welfare checks and food stamps along the way. For feeling this way, in the eyes of the Liberal, Conservatives are mean-spirited, racist, sexist, bigoted homophobes.

Terrorism is an act of war. The Democrats have consistently dealt with terrorism as a criminal matter. The Clinton Administration, after faced with constant terrorist activities against U.S. locations around the world, refused to do anything in response other than at one point lobbing a few token missiles harmlessly at a single, non-critical, target. President Bush, however, on 9/11, immediately recognized the attack on American Soil as an act of war, not the scene of a crime. As a result, he responded with military force against those directly, and indirectly, involved. He told us the truth from the beginning. He said that this would be a hard campaign, a long war, and that we would suffer setbacks on occasion. Specifically, he said, "This war will not be like the war against Iraq a decade ago, with decisive liberation of territory and a swift conclusion. . . Americans should not expect one battle, but a lengthy campaign, unlike any other we have ever seen."

The enemy we face threatens our American Way of Life just as tyrants of the past have, and Liberals of the present do. Like the British we won our independence from them, like Nazi Germany, the Communists of the Soviet Union, the Communists of today's North Korea and China, and like the socialists of the Democrat/Liberal Party, Islam practices a suffocating spirit of tyranny. Islam practices a complete disregard for life with soul-killing domination and the complete absence of choice to its people. Islam covers its victims with the shroud of helplessness and a brute power that obliterates individuality with the constant threat of death.

Faced with such threats from Liberalism and Islamism, it would be prudent for the United States Government to be relentless in its defense of traditional values, personal liberty, small government, the unborn, and America's security.

However, American's have not been trained to be independent. Liberalism emerged through the fires of the sixties and early seventies (and in some cases ever before that) and is in the early stages of applying the socialist politics our Founding Fathers sought so fervently to protect us against. Democrats are introducing socialist oppression in small bursts, slowly training us, and indoctrinating our children, to be dependent upon the government.

In the end, as was pursued by the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (and still is in some ways), and as is being pursued by China, Liberals wish to replace God with government. I, however, cannot adhere to such an attempt, for I believe that there is one God, and because there is only one God, there is absolute moral truth, and the morality being administered by Liberalism, is not that truth.

The American Way is not about being an automaton in a state whose best intentions are for the village. The American Way is about God's unfolding will for the individual. Conservative ideas changed American life for the better under Ronald Reagan, and such ideas should continue to be given the chance.

Liberalism's grasp for power has nothing to do with ideas outside of controlling the White House, controlling Congress, and controlling the American populace. And their drive for power knows no rules of ethics. Liberals employ the media, practice incessant frivolous ethics charges against anyone they deem dangerous, employ lawsuits they know will not be challenged out of fear, and disgraceful tactics on the floor of the House of Representatives. These conspirators seek to replace the American Way with a socialist agenda that demands the dependency of America upon the government, and to destory the Conservative Revolution with the politics of personal destruction, the undermining of our youth, the destruction of America's political atmosphere, and the decay of moral values as a whole.

Unfortunately, the liberal disease has infiltrated the Republican Party as well. Our own President, George W. Bush, though a warrior when it comes to facing the Islamic Fascist enemy, adheres to a Global Agenda that demands a porous border and international alliances that seek to weaken and eventually eliminate America's position as the greatest nation on the face of this planet. Neo-cons like Bush believe that it is the duty of America to spread democracy across the planet and spend the taxpayers hard earned money frivolously in order to force conservatism through big government programs like the "No Child Left Behind Act."

As a Conservative, I cannot support that. I cannot support anything that promotes dependency upon a government that can't even balance its own budget, nor can I support going into a country with the sole purpose of spreading democracy to that nation. However, if in our fight to stop the tyranny of Islamic Terrorism a democratic governement takes hold in a country, as it is trying to in Iraq, I would be a fool not to encourage the United States to nurture that government, and hope that we will continue to assist Iraq in becoming the nation it is capable of being in this post-Saddam era.

After all, I believe the people in that region, and in other parts of the world, have great potential. Without the tyranny of Saddam Hussein, Ahmadinejad, or the horrific teachings of the so-called prophet Muhammad, the people of that region can be better than they even know that they can be. True, humanity is flawed. So, they must understand that their governments must become small, and such a government should be bound by contracts with the citizens known as constitutions. And also, because of the flaws of humanity, there must be checks and balances through an internal system of balanced powers. Political power should be decentralized, giving authority to local governments because they are closest to the people. And it is essential that we do remind ourselves, and our fellow nations, that a free market economy works best when it comes to distributing goods and services, and that the government should stay out of the way of such. War is a necessary evil, and the money required to fund such a war must be spent, because in the case of what we face today in regards to the Islamic Jihadists, we cannot give up the fight. We cannot allow the enemy to believe they have acheived a victory, even if only a small battle in a country called Iraq. We cannot depart from Iraq, or that entire Middle East region, in any way except as a victor. Otherwise, we will enable the enemy, endanger our ally Israel, and in the end, they will launch an assault against Israel, and come to us again with an attack more massive than 9/11, eventually changing our land and our government, and upon them will be the dependency of America.

Golden Opportunity

Sensible moral values seem to be yet another addition to the list of endangered species. Freedom of religion, a liberty that our founding fathers were willing to abandon their homes, travel across a vast ocean, and endure hardships in a new land for, was the main reason for the founding of this nation - because they wished to worship as they desired - because interaction with the Creator is something they felt should be left up to individuals, not government.

The United States Constitution was written in a way as to take great pains in assuring such freedoms. The U.S. Constitution forbids religious tests as a qualification for any office of the United States, prohibits Congress from making any law "respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

Whoa, whoa, wait a minute. They cannot prohibit the free exercise thereof, huh?

If government cannot prohibit the free exercise of religion then why is it no longer permissible to wish anyone Merry Christmas? Why did a school in Maryland question Thanksgiving since, after all, to give thanks means that it must be to God, and we just can't have that in our public schools. Why is it in my own daughter's school not permissible to where any shirt or sweatshirt with any Christian symbol or words on it? Yet, playboy bunny symbols, and symbols of other religious affiliations are okay. If you wear a cross on your necklace you are required to tuck it under your shirt, but any other necklace may remain visible. Shouldn't these students be allowed to enjoy the free exercise of their faith as the U.S. Constitution guarantees?

Last Saturday on my radio show the liberal guest indicates that the social issues we discussed are "non-issues." Why are they non-issues? Because morality doesn't matter anymore?

And as I recently heard on a liberal Blog Talk Radio show called "Fed Up American," Christians are crazy and are forcing religion down secularist's throats. Isn't it the opposite? Isn't secularism shoving its position down our throats?

Judeo-Christian Values promotes sensible family values. These values emphasize that people ought not have sex until married (which, if followed, would all but eradicate sexually transmitted diseases), speaks out against homosexuality (which not only undermines the family unit, but is medically dangerous to such individuals), promotes protecting our children (before and after birth), encourages people to abide by the law (which includes immigrants, and gays who parade in public nude while also being willing to committing sex acts in public like what was observed at the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco), discourages divorce (statistically kids are better off with both mother and father in the home), and so on and so on -- -- so why are such values such a bad thing?

Well, the liberal secularist may argue, because Christianity's goal is to spread their religion - or in their words "shove it down our throats."

Shall we examine who is doing the shoving down who's throats?

9th Circuit Court of Appeals again heard a challenge by Michael Newdow to the Pledge of Allegiance and its phrase "under God."

Christmas was originally supposed to be cancelled in Oak Lawn, Illinois, but wasn't under the condition that Ramadan also be celebrated by the school.

Maryland Schools Promote Homosexuality to school children, essentially promoting Anal Sex between males, while disregarding Christian teachings of abstinence until marriage.

For as many seculars that deny the existence of a war on CHRISTmas, there are many that also admit that they wish CHRISTmas and any mention of Christ to be eliminated. And the war has progressed much farther in other countries, like Canada, which are only a preview of what is coming on the horizon here in America.

A couple months ago Nancy Pelosi's new practice of removing references to God from official certificates was brought to light.

The ACLU sued on behalf of individual named taxpayers arguing the Boy Scouts could not hold events on public property because the organization's membership is limited to those who believe in God.

Elton John last year uttered that Religion should be banned.

Yid with Lid's site covers how in Seattle the airport responded to Rabbi Elazar Bogomilsky’s request (and threatened lawsuit) to add an 8-foot menorah to holiday decorations, officials at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport instead decided to remove all nine Christmas trees. Then when the Rabbi decided against suing the trees returned; and a second incident that occurred in Riverside California, where Olympic Skater Sasha Cohen was performing. A high school choir had been ordered (by police yet) to stop singing Christmas carols at a holiday show because the arena feared that they would be insulting the skaters (she is half-Jewish). The skater was unaware of the incident, and was shocked when she was informed.

A chaplain faced court-martial for praying in uniform outside the White House and invoking the name of Jesus Christ (uh, I thought Chaplains were supposed to pray - aren't they, uh, er, ministers?)

In Wisconsin state employees were disallowed giving to religious charities. This practice was changed only after Christian Legal Society sued.

In a Wisconsin school district Christian Christmas carols were forbidden to be sung in music programs, however songs from other religions were okay. A New Jersey district did the same.

In Illinois Christmas Music was banned from school buses.

In Washington a high school principal decided that Charles Dicken's classic "A Christmas Carol" was too religious for school, and canceled the performance.

The Nativity Scene was booted from an Illinois Holiday Fair (public Christmas festival). Nativity scene rejected at Washington capitol as well.

In Albany, New York a school had a fundraiser that included inscribing personal messages on bricks, but then removed any bricks that were inscribed with Christian messages by students (later a federal judge allowed the bricks to be returned).

In Bakersfield California a man was so upset that a school district decided to revert back to calling the winter and spring breaks to Christmas and Easter vacation that he set himself, an American Flag, and a Christmas tree on fire.

Radio Disney removed God from Ten Commandments Movie Ad.

Muslim stamps have been allowed to be published by the U.S. Postal Service, but a stamp honoring the Ten Commandments has not been.

Muslim Prayer is being allowed in our public schools, but Christian Prayer is not. A student in a graduation speech can't thank Jesus Christ, or encourage the audience to give Jesus a chance.

But Kathy Griffin could say, with no problem, at the Emmy Awards offensive remarks about Jesus and that is just fine. Oh, and let's not forget about the militant Gay activists crashing church services in an attempt to dismay and anger.

Bills have even been attempted to make Christians saying they support biblical text in that homosexuality is immoral and a sin as being hate speech, and punishable by the law - misusing hate crime laws, and being an obvious attempt to quell freedom of speech and religion (by the way, such bills are now law in Canada and Europe). In fact, it is already happening - a teen was accused of a hate crime for distributing Christian fliers that called the gay lifestyle a sin.

Elsewhere in the world the assault on Christianity is even more advanced, such as in China where you can be executed for distributing Bibles. In China being a Christian pastor is considered to be an illegal business practice.

In Norway preaching in public got a minister fined.

In Muslim countries a Christian cannot drink from a public water tank, or else he will be beaten for polluting the public drinking cup. Evangelists are beaten for handing out Christian tracts. In Nigeria Christians were slaughtered over alleged Muhammad cartoon in a rampage occurring a couple months ago. In the Gaza Strip a Baptist was publicly tortured for "spreading Christianity".

All this, without even mentioning the jailing of a teacher in Sudan that allowed her students to name a Teddy Bear Muhammad.

Ever seen a Christian Jihadist? Neither have I. And when someone does do something vile in the name of Christ, Christians don't dance in the streets as Muslims did on 9/11. Such actions in the name of Christ are condemned by the faithful.

Perhaps Christians should launch such a powerful all-out offensive to make Jesus known.

But they can't, because every time Christians rise to occasion, the liberal secularists claim that Christians are shoving their beliefs down their throats. All this while the secular humanists indoctrinate our children in the public school system, and through movies like The Golden Compass.

Liberal Secularists proclaim that Christianity, and any hint of religion in the public square, cannot be tolerated. However, I see it differently. I think that Secularism is in fact being shoved down our throats, and the fact that it is, and the warnings against Christianity perpetuated by the liberal seculars, is what's truly intolerant.

Debate with Tom, Round 2

A while back I asked that liberal blogger, Tom, that used to troll around Political Pistachio, and the very same liberal blogger that loves to talk junk on me on his site, onto my radio show to do a little debating. It was fun. However, the last debate was not structured very well, and was more like a conversation between he and I.

Today, Tom returns for round 2, with my good friend Loki moderating again. This time, however, there will be two differences. First, Mrs. Pistachio is going to be on the line with us to assist me in the debate, and secondly, I have questions I will specifically pose to Tom.

The questions are:

What is your position on immigration and how can we fix it?

Do you favor or oppose legalized abortion in the United States, and why?

What is your feelings on the idea of man-made Global Warming?

Do you favor or oppose a constitutional amendment defining marriage between one man and one woman? Why?

Should federal funding of embryonic stem cell research be expanded?

Is this a Christian Nation and what is your opinion on the idea of the Separation of Church and State?

Hmmmm, this may get interesting. Tune in today at 7pm Eastern Time to Political Pistachio Radio for the fun.

A Day That Will Live In Infamy

"December 7th, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan. -- Franklin D. Roosevelt, December 8, 1941

While Japanese diplomats were blandly talking to the Secretary of State in Washington, Japan launched a sudden and treacherous attack on American military bases in the Philippines and Hawaii. The nation was just beginning, that winter, to marshal its resources against possible danger, meanwhile lending half an ear to a loud minority of isolationists proclaiming that no danger existed. But in the dawn of Sunday morning, December 7, 1941, the Japanese bomber and torpedo planes caught the army and navy "off the alert," wreaking such damage that for months full details of the catastrophe were withheld. In one savage moment the United States had been jolted into the conflict. Japan declared war on the United States on December 7; the next day President Roosevelt read a war message to Congress: "Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that our people, our territory, and our interests are in grave danger. With confidence in our armed forces, with the unbounding determination of our people, we will gain the inevitable triumph, so help us God." On December 11 Germany and Italy joined their Axis partner by declaring war against the United States. Roosevelt said, "The long known and the long expected has thus taken place. The forces endeavoring to enslave the entire world are now moving toward this hemisphere." The Japanese surrender was hastened by the atomic bomb, and the Japanese surrendered officially on September 3, 1945. The ceremony was held aboard the U.S.S. Missouri, bringing an end to Japan's dream of world domination. Executive power was vested in General MacArthur, Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers. Under his guidance, the Japanese took their first steps on the path to democratic government, despite the cries of some that imposing democracy on such a barbaric nation was a waste of America's time and resources.

The lessons of history are clear.

Who Is Your Candidate for 2008?

Red November is the goal, and the election is less than a year away. But do you really know which candidate best fits your criteria?

To my surprise, after taking the Select A Candidate Quiz, it turns out that Tancredo best fits what I expect from a candidate. Huckabee, a candidate I have indicated I think fits my mold, wasn't even in my top five. Hunter and Thompson were my number two and three.

What is Doug talking about?

Go HERE for the Select A Candidate Quiz and find out for yourself - Then, tune in tonight to Political Pistachio Radio and join myself, Mrs. Pistachio, and Josh P. Allem in a discussion about the quiz, how the candidates answered, and what we think was the best responses to the questions.

Broadcast airs live tonight at 10pm Eastern Time on Political Pistachio Radio.

For Ezekiel

An innocent heart is a brittle thing, and one false vow can break it. - Bulwer-Lytton, Last of the Barons.

For those of you who didn't have your Yahoo Instant Messenger up yesterday, I had my grandson (almost one month old) on the webcam. I don't know when the next opportunity to show off the little bugger will be, but be on the lookout. If you wish to join my little group of YIM buddies, my ID is douglasvgibbs.

And you know, little Ezekiel is just one of many reasons why I support the Global War on Terror.

What we face is a new type of fascism that is more illusory and antagonistic than Nazism was. And appeasement, like what is being promoted by the Democrats, is nothing less than a repeat of the pre-World War II mistake of appeasement by the British.

If we do not take this enemy seriously, and continue to take action to defend liberty, we will not have a similar free society to give to our children and grandchildren. We have not learned from history. By attempting to appease the Jihadists, and by continuing to urge Israel to give up more land for the hope of peace, we are repeating the errors made in earlier eras.

During the last century Nazism and fascism took hold of Europe and Japan, and those who warned of the coming crisis were ignored and ridiculed. Winston Churchill was unpopular, and called a war monger and alarmist during those years.

Winston Churchill, however, understood what the world was up against. He stated that trying to accommodate Hitler was "a bit like feeding a crocodile, hoping it would eat you last."

We now face similar challenges as a new fascist threat rises. This time the threat is using an ideology much more dangerous than extreme nationalism as the Nazis used. This time the threat is under the guise of a religion - a fanatical religion where the enemy does not surrender, but instead is willing to die for the cause, and believes to be immortally and eternally rewarded for doing so.

Unfortunately, the Liberal Left does not see it that way. In fact, the Democrats, and the Liberals that support them, believe that America is the real source of the world's troubles, and the cause of the rise in terror activity. We cannot afford this kind of view, nor can we afford not to remain on the offensive against this enemy. As the terrorist cells grow around the world, and as they continue to Islamisize Europe and America (as well as the rest of the world) we cannot fold under the continuing calls to withdraw the troops. Such a withdrawal is an abandonment of our ally, Israel, in the region, and an announcement to the Jihadists that Islamic forces have won in the Middle East. Such an announcement will invigorate the enemy, embolden them, and bring the war back to the shores of the United States of America.

And if we abandon Iraq before the country is strong enough to defend herself, we will be telling the nations in that region who may be considering being our ally that America cannot be trusted to keep its word.

So while the mainstream media seems to be content to emphasize the negative rather than the positive, it must be our prerogative as citizens of this great nation to continue the fight, and continue to ensure that our troops know that we are with them, we support them, and we recognize that the tide is turning and victory is in site in Iraq.

And I won't quit. I mustn't. A world without Islamic Extremism is the world I wish for Ezekiel.

By the way, last night on Andrea Shea King's show Josh P. Allem called in just past the halfway mark and decided to get involved in a conversation about the Council on Foreign Relations - and what follows is one of the funniest things you will ever hear. Check it out, it is hilarious.

-----------------------------------------

Tonight on Political Pistachio Radio Mrs. Pistachio and myself will be discussing the hubbub about Teddy Bears named Muhammad, Hugo Chavez's disappointments, Why the NFL has decided to be unpatriotic at a Monday Night Game, or why saying "Allah Dammit" is funny. Tune in, we'll discuss this and more - just like Ricky and Lucy? Show begins at 10 pm Eastern Time.

Tomorrow night Josh P. Allem will join the show as my guest. We will discuss questions posed to the candidates, and what they should have said - Thursday's broadcast of Political Pistachio Radio also begins at 10pm Eastern Time.

Laughter's the Best Medicine - You Infidels!!!

Over at Political Pistachio Videos I just posted a video (Islamic Rage Boy) that is so funny I cried - well, maybe not cried, but you know what I mean. . . and this video came from a site called "The Nose On Your Face" which is one of the most hilarious places I've visited - and not afraid to poke a little fun of Muhammad (or is that Muhammed?). I was alerted about the site by my good friend at Third Wave Dave. Visit the sites, peruse a while, and have some fun.

Truly Nuts

So I am sitting here eating pistachios and downing a nice, cold Dr. Pepper, and the piles of paperwork on my desk has risen to an unreal stack of clutter. In the piles of articles are stories that shock and amaze me. So, since I have the time tonight after watching a wonderful production of "Handel's Messiah" by a remarkable choir that includes our good friend over at Prying1, I thought I'd write a few posts.

Be My Little Teddy Bear is a post I wrote regarding the British teacher jailed for allowing her class to name a Teddy Bear Muhammad.

NFL is disappointing and unamerican is a post I wrote about the NFL deciding not to start a Monday Night Football game with the National Anthem.

Turkey Moves into Iraq is a post I wrote that discusses actions by the Turkish Military against Kurdish Rebels in Iraq.

And don't forget that I post on Political Pistachio Radio Blog about upcoming shows, and post videos almost daily on Political Pistachio Videos.

And for those of you searching for Christian Posts, I also post often on my Carried By Christ blog.

Be My Little Teddy Bear

For those that are crazy enough to actually believe that Islam is a Religion of Peace, I would like to present yet another example of why Islam is not only not peaceful, but contains a membership of absolutely crazy, fanatical and violent barbarians.

Gillian Gibbons is a British teacher that was jailed for 15 days in Sudan because she allowed her pupils to name a teddy bear Muhammed. Apparently, that was an insult to Islam, and the penalty for insulting Islam is the demand by protestors for you to be beheaded.

Protestors reportedly streamed out of mosques shouting, “Kill her, kill her, kill her by firing squad.” Many of these protestors brandished giant swords, axes, clubs, and knives. Pictures of Mrs. Gibbons were set afire or stomped on in the dirt.

One chant yelled was, “No one lives who insults the prophet.”

Could you imagine the backlash if Christians took to the streets and waved objects of battle demanding death to anyone who insults the image of Christ? There are daily assaults on Christianity, and nobody fears doing so, yet we are supposed to believe that Islam is a Religion of Peace with this kind of response over a Teddy Bear being named Muhammad?

Interestingly, the 15 day jail sentence is light. Such an insult to Islam is normally met with 40 lashes, six months in prison and a fine.

And what really gets me is that the British are calling it an innocent mistake. Mistake? Who cares? So a Teddy Bear was named after their Muhammad. Get over it. This woman went into Sudan with the intention to help Sudanese kids. Think about it. Why would she go into your country with the intention to cause trouble?

Islam, here, has just proven once again that it is a backward, violent ideology, and cannot be trusted.

Winter Wonderland

Abortion, The Death Penalty, and the CNN - YouTube Debate

On Thursday the plan for the broadcast of Political Pistachio Radio was to have Governor James Gilmore on the show to talk about his candidacy for the U.S. Senate. Governor Gilmore did not confirm, nor call in, but I decided we should talk about his campaign anyhow.

At the beginning of the show the Republican CNN - YouTube Presidential Debate was brought up and eventually, so was abortion. The whole show was all about abortion because Mrs. Pistachio says, "Why are men making decisions on a woman's issue?"

Listen, the interaction between Mrs. Pistachio and myself is interesting - since we do not agree 100% on this particular issue.

-------------------

Then, today at 4pm Pacific/7pm Eastern I will address last Wednesday's Republican Debate on CNN hosted by Anderson Cooper - and I will specifically key in on "The Death Penalty - What Would Jesus Do?" So tune in tonight to Political Pistachio Radio and hear what the candidates should have said!

What's the Point?

I hear the question, "What's the Point?" often. It seems that folks are becoming tired of business as usual, but don't seem to think their voice carries much weight in the broad scheme of things. Republicans of late desire a resurgence of conservative values, a kind of Red November, hoping for the emergence of some kind of Reaganesque candidate, but quickly realizing that none of the Presidential Candidates fit the bill. It seems as if Conservatives fear that during these uncertain days only the worst possible scenario looms on the horizon.

And as the concern for a return to conservatism arises, the news offers little solace. In Annapolis a Middle East Peace Summit is about to embark. The West, headed by President Bush and Condi Rice, wishes for Israel to give up more land, it seems, in search for peace (as if they haven't given up too much as it is in the search for peace). And even if such concessions results in the so far elusive brand of peace they desire, the peace will be temporary as proven by history. Besides, the Islamic radicals don't want the peace conference to occur anyway, because they don't wish for peace. The wish for the destruction of Israel, and death to America. Fact is, these radical jihadists understand only one thing to be true in their eyes: There is no durable solution to the Israeli-Palestinian problem outside of the destruction of Israel.

A cease in hostilities will only be temporary. Negotiation is futile. Palestinians and her Muslim neighbors will not rest until Israel is destroyed and the United States is under Sharia Law. I appreciate the fact that there are those to this day that wish to find a peaceful solution, and I commend them for trying - - - but in this bizarre world of Islamic Hatred against all non-Muslims, and a special hatred for Israel and The West, there is no resolution that can be bought, negotiated, or begged for.

During the 1930's Great Britain behaved similar to today's Democrats. They proclaimed that they were weary of war (World War I was supposed to be the war to end all wars, wasn't it?), and they did not truly believe that Hitler would actually act upon his threats. Winston Churchill, after proclaiming that Britain should begin to build her military again in preparation for a clash with Germany, was called an alarmist and war monger. They even sent Neville Chamberlain to Germany in an effort to appease Adolf Hitler and the Nazi ideology.

Sound familiar?

Generations of Islamists have grown accustomed to this turmoil, fueled by a hate for Israel and America that we, as individuals, I doubt will ever understand. Besides, the leaders of these Jew-hating nations have made it a point to blame Israel for every one of Islam's woes. Peace sought by The West is a noble hope in that region, but to truly believe that those Islamic nations will actually abide by such accords is simply playing into their hands, and will place Israel in grave danger.

And as Bush, some members of the Republican Party, and the Democrats place their hopes into an Annapolis Middle East peace conference doomed to failure, Iran is hosting an alternative meeting aimed at countering the U.S. hosted peace conference.

Bush believes that peace "requires difficult compromises," while Iran's Ahamdinejad believes that chaos is the plan of the day. I am sorry, President George W. Bush, but I disagree with you. Compromise is all that Israel has ever done, and what it has given her is grief, and a long line of broken promises by her neighbors. Imagine, if you will, if we had made such difficult compromises with the Nazis, Japan, or the Soviets?

In short, the only thing that these Islamic Jihadists understand is strength and military might. They will take advantage of every concession, shake hands with their fingers crossed behind their backs, and stab you in your back with the hand they shook yours with. History shows this to be true. The words of the leaders of these nations support my opinion on this.

Simply put, we need to be tough on our enemies.

And with victory approaching nearer and nearer in Iraq, this is not the time to let up, run away, or give concessions to the cold blooded murders of the Jihad.

After all, terrorism is still out there, and they still target American Targets (as proven recently with their plans to attack a facility in Arizona with the aid of Mexican drug cartels).

Well, since our President seems to have holes in his positions of National Security, and none of the candidates for president seem to fit the mold, it is imperetive that we choose Congressional candidates that best represent what we desire in regards to a Red November. One such candidate, one that I believe represents the conservative perfectly, is running for the 12th district in Pennsylvania against John "The U.S. Marines are cold blooded killers" Murtha. This Conservative Candidate's name is William Russell.

William Russell is a true conservative that believes in the sovereignty and security of this one nation, under God. He believes the primary role of government is to provide for the common defense and a legal framework to protect families and individual liberty. He supports the need for a strong National Defense, the need for strong borders, and for us to create a system that breaks our culture of dependence upon government. He embraces the sanctity of life and proclaims that life begins at conception. He undertands that marriage should be between one man and one woman and that children should always be loved and sometimes spanked. He maintains that all children in our school systems should be educated in English and taught the civic duties and responsibilities of citizenship and patriotism.

And William Russell is the guest of Political Pistachio Radio on Wednesday, November 28 @ 10pm Eastern Time. Tune in live to listen and participate, or catch the archive later. If you tune in live, please feel free to join the chat room, yahoo instant message me at douglasvgibbs, or call into the show at 646-652-2940.

Oh, and to answer the question, "What's the Point?" - - The point is that we can change government, and turn things around for conservatism. Our power lies in our votes. The power of the people is in the ballot box.
