Romney Wins Maine, Common Sense Loses in Oregon, Berkley loses its mind [again], Mississippi bans fat people

Today was the Maine Caucuses, and Romney looks like he will take all of Maine's delegates.

In Oregon, some of the newest firefighters only speak Spanish, and their supervisors are being let go because they can't communicate with them!

The City of Berkeley, California wants to have the U.S. Marine Corps remove its recruiting station from the city's downtown. This on the hills of anti-war protestors chaining themselves to the entrance of the recruiting station. U.S. Sentator Jim DeMint (R) did not like the City Council's move to boot Marines from their city, and had this to say about it: "If the city can't show respect for the Marines that have fought, bled and died for their freedom, Berkeley should not be receiving special taxpayer-funded handouts. . . [Their actions are a] slap in the face to all brave men and women and their families."

Mississippi legislators have decided that there are too many fat people in their state. So, they have introduced a bill that would make it illegal for state-licensed restaurants to serve obese patrons. Okay, being obese is not healthy, but you've got to be kidding. Talk about a nanny state. What's next? Banning smoking. . . ooops, wait, that's happening too. Talk about government control.
