Obama and Israel: Barack, after securing nomination, Seeks to Reassure Israel

Last week, Aaron Klein (Jerusalem Bureau Chief of World Net Daily and author of Schmoozing With Terrorists) wrote a piece that explained "Israel expects Obama to win." As a result of the small nation's lack of faith in Barack Obama's foreign policy plans, Israel is looking to create defensible borders as soon as possible before being forced to into concessions with Syria and the Palestinians under an Obama Presidency.

An Obama presidency has inched closer to becoming a reality. With a split decision in the final two primaries in South Dakota and Montana, and a flurry of superdelegate endorsements (all of which could change their mind at the Democratic National Convention if they so desired), Sen. Barack Obama has for the most part sealed the Democratic presidential nomination. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton hasn't bowed out yet, however, so keep an eye on those developments.

Obama told 7,000 people gathered in Washington this morning that rumors and suggestions that he is unfriendly to Israel and to Jewish interests are unfounded.

To applause, Obama said: "I will never compromise when it comes to Israel's security."
