Obama May Be Disinvited To Notre Dame

"We’re not at liberty to release details, but it appears that events are taking shape aimed at correcting the abuses at Notre Dame. These plans may include the canceling of Obama’s appearance at the commencement." - Michael Voris
As Americans begin to rise up against President Barack Obama, and his methodical dismantling of the American form of government, every step he takes is being scrutinized and railed against by folks that are increasingly becoming aware of his destructive framework of hope and change. Congress is passing the Democratic agenda with zeal, trying to do as much as they can quickly before the good citizens of America realizes what the Leftists are doing, and mounts a counter-measure. Opposition to the Obama regime that has engineered a bleak future for America is being demonized as extremists, and labeled as domestic terrorists. Every stupid thing some violent idiot does that pops up in the news is being connected to the things said by conservative bloggers and conservative talkers. Morality is being criminalized through hate crimes legislation, and free speech is being silenced through fear, and tactics of intimidation.

As much as I wish I was writing about a past Soviet-bloc nation, or the rise of a communist regime in some third world nation, the sobering fact is all of this is happening in America. What is even worse is organizations, people otherwise of right mind, and Christian churches are compromising their faith, common sense, and recognition of American Ideals for the empty promises of socialism and a centralized federal government. Religious leaders, possibly motivated by the promise of dollars in the collection plate, and acceptance by a worldview that opposes Biblical teachings, are caving to the demands of the gay agenda and abortion advocates. Fear of being chastised for opposing Obama, in some cases, could very well be the motivation for the capitulation. For others it may simply be blind admiration for Obama's rockstar appeal, while failing to recognize that he is just another empty suit armed with political lies and false hopes.

One thing Obama is, which is easily ascertained by studying Barack Obama's past voting record and statements, is an abortion supporter that believes the slaughter of the unborn is acceptable up to the day of delivery of the child from the womb. He even made a statement during his presidential campaign, when asked about his opinions should one of his daughters become pregnant, saying "I don't want my daughter to be punished with a child."

The Catholic Church has long held the position that abortion is the murder of the unborn, and a sin. The Pope has even spoke out against abortion. For this reason I have often wondered how a Catholic could be a Democrat, knowing that the political party of the donkey supports wholesale slaughter. Even more perplexing is the decision of Notre Dame University, a Catholic institution of higher learning, to invite Barack Obama to speak at the school's commencement ceremony, and to even offer him an honorary degree.

Outcry regarding Notre Dame's decision to invite Barack Obama to speak at the graduation has been so prevalent, even the mainstream media has been willing to report on it. Dr. Alan Keyes, as a part of a protest against Obama's invitation to speak at the event, has been arrested for his part in voicing opposition to the school's foolhardy decision to invite Obama.

Finally, the Catholic Church leadership has joined the debate, and may cancel Obama's appearance at Notre Dame, a move aimed at "correcting the abuses at Notre Dame."

Obama being disinvited, of course, has not become official, yet, and it is even possible that when Church leadership drops the gavel Notre Dame will rebel and reject the church's decision. I am curious, however, what the response to a cancellation of Obama's appearance will wrought. Will protests against The Church's decision erupt? Will those folks protesting against the cancellation of Obama's appearance be arrested as Dr. Keyes was? Or will they be allowed to voice their opinion without any confrontation by campus security or legal threats of arrest?
