Obama vs. Cheney

Barack Obama, trying to defend himself against the rightwing extremist threat, and apologize for everything America has become, delivered a disgusting array of commentary yesterday that was even moronic for Barry. The fear is apparent. He sees the growth of the Conservative movement, and the realization by America that Obama is a con-artist, a statist in rock-star clothing.

The diatribe in particular by Obama I wish to address is his assessment that the existence of Guantanamo Bay prison encourages terrorism. This is like saying, the existence of maximum security prisons encourages crime, and creates more criminals, so let's just shut down the prison system so that we don't make more criminals.

Terrorists are terrorists, whether you jail them or not. What crates terrorism is not Gitmo. What caused 9/11? What caused the kidnapping of American Citizens in Iran under Carter's watch? Guantanamo Bay was not being used to imprison Islamic terrorists, but they had it out for us then as well!

Do you want to know what creates more terrorists?

Recruitment into terrorism increases when terror attacks are successful. Terrorists are able to recruit even more terrorists when they believe they have had an affect, or are winning, or if they have a better chance to cause damage because signs of weakness are being portrayed by the enemy. And guess what? Obama is encouraging terrorists to take arms through his weakness!

Meanwhile, Dick Cheney laid it out in easy to understand details. He explained the reason for enhanced interrogation techniques. He explained the enemy and the steps taken to stop them.

The Jihad is laughing at Obama and the liberal left at this moment. They call water boarding torture? The Islamic Jihad has methods of torture, and they don't even resemble "simulating drowning." In fact, the torture methods by Islamists simulates nothing. They actually cut off limbs, heads, and anything else they can get a blade on.

The prisoners in Guantanamo Bay have served as valued intelligence sources, and the Bush policies, as flawed as they were on occasion, ensured that we never received another terror attack.

To quote Cheney, "Critics of our policies are given to lecturing on the theme of being consistent with American values, but no moral value held dear by the American people obliges public servants to sacrifice innocent lives to spare a captured terrorist from unpleasant things -- and when an entire population is targeted by a terror network, nothing is more consistent with American values than to stop them."
