American People Speak Up

Members of Congress are on recess, and will be in their respective districts throughout August. At townhall meetings the American People have been voicing their dissatisfaction with their representatives. Rather than simply explain why they are voting for H.R. 3200, the members of Congress are lashing back, intent on silencing the dissent.

They can't debate the American People on this issue because our Congressional Representatives haven't even read the bill. They have no idea what they are supporting, or why they are so determined to make sure it passes. They are simply mindlessly following the Leftist marching orders. The protesters are wise to the truth, and the Leftists don't understand how that could possibly be.

The Left, from liberal media talkers to bloggers and journalists, have determined that "Insurance companies and partisan attack groups are stirring up fear with false rumors about the President's plan." They are proclaiming that "special interest attack groups are stirring up partisan mobs with lies about health reform, and that across the country, members of Congress who support reform are being shouted down, physically assaulted, hung in effigy, and receiving death threats." It is an attack by those rightwing extremists, and they can't let those crazy conservatives "hijack this debate, or confuse Congress about where the people stand."

Physically assaulted? Hung in effigy? Death threats? No reports I have seen indicates any of these things. Perhaps a few isolated events that may or may not be directly related to these events, but I have not heard anything about such episodes. I have seen on video, however, SEIU thugs physically assaulting protesters. And I remember clearly when Bush was hung in effigy, and when those who did not agree with the anti-war protesters were receiving death threats.

Of course the Left assumes that there is some organizing conspiracy behind the American People speaking up at Tea Parties and Townhall meetings because that is how the Left works. They assume the opposition does the same thing. It isn't possible in their weak little minds that the American People actually are against Obama's horrendous Health Care Reform bill, and are angry at the trillions of dollars of deficit spending.

This is not to say that there is absolutely no possibility that organized special interest groups have sent persons into these meetings hoping to get the issue raised. The bulk of the dissent, however, is coming from grass roots America - because America is pissed.

Until recently the confrontations at the Townhall meetings have been without violence. Despite the Left's crazy claims, the only result when Obama's "purple shirts" are not present has been a lot of yelling. If there have been cases of members of Congress being "physically assaulted, hung in effigy, and receiving death threats," it wasn't from these concerned Americans. In fact, as I stated earlier, violence was none existent until Obama's thugs from the SEIU Union showed up and stirred the hornet's nest.

In fascist fashion, the Democrats are calling for the protesters to be crushed, silenced, and pushed out of the way.

Is revolution brewing?
