Dispute over Number of Protestors at Washington DC Tea Party on 9/12

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Little Green Footballs has decided that the number of folks at the 9/12 rally in Washington DC was greatly exaggerated.

The number given by conservatives has floated between 1.2 million and 2.1 million.

Midget Moldy Footballs, er, uh, Little Green Footballs says the number was under 100,000.

That is a stadium number, and the number of folks in Washington DC was many more than what you could cram into a stadium.

But, hey, don't take my word for it. Let's ask the University of Indiana.

Zac Moilanen of Indiana University did a study to figure out just how many people did attend that event - and guess what? The result was much more than tens of thousands.

Moilanen found, and remember this is an approximation, that the 9/12 event in Washington DC had 1.8 million people. Remember, too, this doesn't consider the other millions across the nation at other 9/12 events. I was told by a Floridian that there were at least 25 events in Florida alone.

Hmmm, maybe that is why their footballs are green, they've been drinking so much Kool Aide that it has made them sick.

Here, have a few pistachios, and turn away from the dark side.
