Obama's View of Obama

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Obama Tells Oprah Winfrey His First Year Was A "B+":

Of course he gave himself a grade. It's not like he's humble, or anything. In his 41 speeches so far Obama has talked about himself nearly 1,200 times.

The grade, as you saw in the video above, came on Oprah's Christmas in Washington special on ABC when the queen of talk shows herself asked President Obama to grade himself.

"Good, solid B-plus," the president said.

Obama went on to blame all of his woes on Bush by stating, "we have inherited the biggest set of challenges of any president since Franklin Delano Roosevelt."

Then the liar kicked into high gear:

"We stabilized the economy, and prevented possibilities of a Great Depression or a significant financial meltdown. The economy is growing again. (The economy is not stabilized: unemployment is now double digits, consumer spending remains low, heavy debt and fiat money pumped into the system will be bringing about inflation - the government agenda is actually inhibiting any hopes for a recovery)

"We are on our way out of Iraq. I think we’ve got the best possible plan for Afghanistan. (Iraq, as he tries to remove troops, is beginning to deteriorate, and as the Nobel Peace Prize recipient, Obama decided to escalate the war in Afghanistan which is hardly a move the leftists that are of the anti-war persuasion would consider "the best possible plan")

"We have reset our image around the world. (Yeah, it has been reset as the next failed socialist state with a bad credit rating, and a naive child with no experience, and a Saul Alinsky style agenda, who doesn't know how to lead a lemonade stand, much less a nation, is at the helm)

"We have achieved an international consensus around the need for Iran and North Korea to disable their nuclear weapons. (I guess that is why Iran is planning on building 10 more nuclear facilities, has been doing whatever they can to create nuclear weapons despite Obama's nice-guy tactics, and North Korea has become more aggressive in their approach with Japan, South Korea, and the U.S.)

"And I think that we’re going to pass the most significant piece of social legislation since Social Security, and that's health insurance for every American." (meaning the government is expected to continue its journey to fascism as it takes control of 1/6 of the private sector, destroys all choice in health care, and bankrupts the nation)

He didn't give himself an "A" grade because "Health care is not yet signed. If I get health care passed we tip into A-minus."

A truly humble president, one that was not a narcissistic glory hound like the arrogant bastard in the White House right now, would have said something like, "Oprah, the grade for my performance as president should come from the people. I am merely their servant."

Beware of Greeks bearing gifts, and then elevating themselves as the rulers over the people.
