Rescued From A New York Cesspool

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Fox News just reported that the worker in East Hills, Long Island, who had fallen into a cesspool just before noontime, has been rescued. After falling into the hole, the walls collapsed, and covered the man with dirt as well. When he was pulled out he was moving all limbs and his head, and appears to be fine.

It almost sounds like a lead-in to a joke, doesn't it? After all, New York politics, just like nearby Washington DC, is a cesspool in many ways, and it seems this entire nation is in the process of falling into a cesspool.

The leftists in control of the government believes governments are supposed to spend their way out of economic trouble, and they don't care that their out of control spending will trickle down to the people, and in the long run, destroy the private sector.

We are accumulating an incredible amount of debt as the unemployment rate continues to rise, consumer spending continues to struggle, and the United States credit rating around the world has been destroyed. Government has rewritten the rules, throws money out to their supporters, and special interests, and is in the process of slowly taking over the private sector despite the uproar by the American People.

Just from a common sense line of thinking, how can that kind of cesspool politics be good for America?
