Chris Slattery Discusses Health Care Payoffs, Clayton Thibodeau Joins Us To Talk About His Candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives

A pure political payoff. The negotiations weren't working, so to ensure the health care legislation passed Harry Reid resorted to payoffs, the last of which was Ben Nelson of Nebraska. As a result of the payoff, Nebraska is expected to expand its Medicaid programs like all of the other states, but exempts Nebraska taxpayers from paying for the expansions, instead requiring the other 49 states to flip the bill.

In return, Ben Nelson eased his position on the federally-paid abortion provisions in the Senate Bill, and voted in favor of the legislation.

Chris Slattery, founder of EMC Front Line Pregnancy Centers, strongly disagrees with Nelson's decision, and joins us tonight on the Political Pistachio Radio Revolution to discuss his views on the payoff.

During the second hour of the program Constitutional Conservative Republican Clayton Thibodeau joins us to discuss his campaign against Republican In Name Only (RINO) Mary Bono Mack for her seat in the 45th District of the U.S. Congress. The period between January 7th and February 7th is crucial for his bid for the Republican Nomination to be successful, and his candidacy represents an opportunity for you to be involved.
