Democrats Losing Ground, But Not Without An Unethical Fight

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Last November I read an article that the Zogby polls indicated Senators voting in favor of liberal health care legislation would lose their seats in 2010. Americans have risen up against the legislation in other ways as well, voicing their opinions at Tea Parties, Townhall Meetings, and through a number of other venues.

Rasmussen Reports shows that Blanche Lincoln in Arkansas is in serious trouble, and it is looking like this self-proclaimed moderate Democrat will lose her seat in November for her leftist voting tendencies. In addition to Lincoln's woes, more than 50% of Arkansas voters are strongly opposed to the Democrat Party's health care proposals.

Ben Nelson of Nebraska, with his special treatment by Majority Leader Harry Reid in order to gain his last minute vote, is also in jeopardy with his voters, as well as angering many of his Democrat brethren, and spurring lawsuits regarding the special deal because the provision is constitutionally flawed.

Thirteen state attorney generals are threatening a lawsuit over the fact that Nebraska's $100 million deal is an unconstitutional payoff for an unconstitutional piece of legislation, and the implications for the country, and the future of our nation's legislative process, are severe. With the Nelson bribe in the bill the legislation would unfairly benefit Nebraska, while taxpayers in the other 49 states will have to pay for it.

Watching the liberal three ring circus in Washington DC is turning voters against the Democrats, and as a result a landslide victory for the Republican Party in November is predicted. Voters do not accept the loss of choice, and the overwhelming costs involved in the health care legislation. To try to combat this opinion, Barack Obama and the Democrats, have indicated the health care legislation will not increase the National Debt, and there will be no new taxes in the bill.

Both claims by the Democrats are lies.

Democrats want to raise taxes on high income individuals, and high-end insurance companies. The numbers don't add up, however, and even a full taxation of all citizens would not be enough to pay for the monstrosity the mad scientists of the Democrat Party are trying to create.

Fact is, no matter how much they compromise, and twist the legislation, and claim that there is no public option or taxes or higher costs, the truth is that this legislation, or any Democrat health care legislation, is designed to move the nation towards socialist programs in the health care industry, and ultimately, to the creation of a single payer universal health system. Their desire is to eventually eliminate the private health care system, and leave you with only one choice: Government Run Health Care!

Loss of choice is loss of liberty.

In every case of the creation of socialized medicine, with the elimination of choice, freedoms slowly vanish. Rationing follows, in an attempt to save costs and provide care to only those that most benefit "the common good." Of course you would never accept this kind of Marxist legislation willingly, so they package it nicely, claiming it is to help this group, or save that group. Americans, however, are seeing through the deception, and the true draconian nature of the leftist's plans are revealing themselves. As a result, a major push is being made to stop it. That's why the Democrats are trying to rush through the legislation. They know their time is limited.

Stopping the change of the American form of government into a Marxist system the founding fathers never intended, however, may come sooner than November. In Massachusetts Ted Kennedy's seat is to be decided on January 19th. Republican Scott Brown currently leads Democrat Martha Coakley 48-47, and it is looking very possible that the Democrats will lose their 60-vote super majority as early as in a bit more than a week.

Recognizing the writing on the wall, however, the unethical Democrats are already planning yet another dirty political trick to try and get their unwanted legislation rammed through Congress. The plan is to delay Brown's swearing-in, should he win the election. During the delay, the leftists then plan to complete their cramming of health care legislation down the throat of the American People, complete with unrepealable provisions.

Most amazing of all is the Democrats actually believe that their losses in November is not because the American People are angry over the attempt to change this nation into a socialist utopia. They actually believe, as idiot Keith Olbermann has indicated, along with Daily Kos's Markos Moulitsas, that the Democrats may lose in November if they pass nothing at all.

These are the same morons that think the Democrats lost Congress in 1994 because of not passing health care legislation, too.

They don't get it. The American People do not want Marxists policies, and only supported health care legislation while the deceptive Democrats were successfully hiding their true intentions. But with the exposure of their plans, along with the dirty political tactics of pay offs and closed door negotiations (when Obama promised it would all be on C-Span, and that transparency was important to the Democrats), the American People are becoming increasingly angry at the Democrat Party.

Implosion has begun, and was best illustrated when Nancy Pelosi was asked about the Democrat's failure to follow Obama's campaign promise of transparency: "There are a number of things he was for on the campaign trail," quipped Pelosi, who has no intention of making the deliberations public.
