Republican Leadership Wants GOP To Lose One For The Gipper

Get Liberty

By Douglas V. Gibbs

I vote for the individual, not for the party, and it just so happens that most of the time the candidate that best fits my values and positions on the issues is a Republican. Sometimes the candidate is an independent, or a member of a minority party. Never has a candidate I have been willing to vote for been a Democrat.

The Republican Platform fits very closely with what I believe. I support the Constitutional idea of a limited federal government, state sovereignty, a strong national defense, the right to bear arms, pro-life measures, and value-based positions that include protecting the sanctity of marriage.

Republicanism, however, has been infiltrated by Progressivism. Big government programs, excessive spending, and wishy-washy stances on the issues, have made the Republican Party look like something other than what their platform indicates. It is this failure to portray a clear definition of their positions on the issues that enabled the Democrats to win in 2006, and for America to elect a socialist radical like Barack Obama to the presidency in 2008.

Though I remain a registered Republican, I do not support the Republican Party across the board. My support goes out to individual candidates. And it is important that my support goes out now. If we wait around for the primaries, we will be stuck with the candidates the GOP hands us. It is important to support financially, and with your time, conservative candidates now!

In my district, the 45th District in California, I am throwing my support behind Constitutional Conservative Clayton Thibodeau. He will receive any funds I can muster, and as much time as I can offer. I plan to knock on doors, stand at mall entrances, and have gatherings to garner support for his candidacy.

Are you willing to do the same for your conservative candidates?

Make it happen. We can take back the House, and eliminate the Senate Super Majority with our support of conservative candidates. But we can't wait. Get involved now!
