Target Wipes Israel Off The Globe

By Douglas V. Gibbs

What the Muslims have been threatening to do for centuries, Target stores have been able to accomplish with a single product.

An exclusive sale item from Target, a small globe, contains all of the countries of the world (well, most of them) with their appropriate names on them - with an exception. Israel does not have the name Israel on it. Instead, it says "Palestine."

Is Target saying they support Islam's "Final Solution?"

Rabbi Gary Moskowitz says that the globe, ". . . encourages terrorism. . . foments hatred."

Once Target received enough complaints, and after Target sold the globes for several weeks, the chain began yanking the globes from its 1,744 stores in 49 states (Vermont is Target-free).

"We didn’t want to offend any of our guests," said Amy Reilly of Target customer relations, who initially said the omission of Israel was due to lack of space on the item. (Isn’t "Palestine" a longer word?)
