History Lessons About Anti-Government Extremists

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Secrecy, backroom deals, bribery, deceit. Passage of America's Health Care legislation was forced into existence, and now the Democrats, and their liberal media cohorts, feel the need to silence any opposition. The scores of thousands of Tea Party participants have caught the Democrat Party's attention, and they are now taking aim at these patriots. To the Left, the hateful accusations come easy, because the truth means nothing to these people - the ends justifies the means as far as they are concerned.

Conservatives are called narrow minded, nut jobs, baggers, wing-nuts, violent domestic terrorists. President Obama dismisses the opposition to his policies as an extremist arm of the Republican Party that is small, and ineffectual. But if the movement is but a small fringe group, then why spend so much time dismissing them, and demonizing them?

The Left searches for examples of crazies to use as a caricature of the entire Tea Party movement. But you cannot demonize an entire organization of people by the actions of the few.

Liberals are searching for that handful of nuts, and they always find them eventually because they exist in all levels of society. In fact, the nutcases are more prevalent on the Left, but they shine the spotlight away from those crazies, hoping nobody notices the Marxists in their midst.

With the news of members of a Christian Militia Group being arrested in Michigan, the Left thinks they have their kryptonite. The liberals are now trying to hold the Tea Party movement accountable for the alleged actions of the militia group, while also devising plans to disrupt Tea Parties around the nation on April 15th.

That disruption tactic, by the way, was not used against the anti-war crowd last decade. Members of the Right won't bring themselves down to such a low and sleazy set of tactics. Instead, those who supported Bush's decision to fight the war against terrorism simply set up counter-protests, and peaceful ones at that.

Why would Leftists lower themselves (that is if they can go any lower) to such dirty strategies?

The tactic is an old one designed to delegitimize the Tea Party Movement, with the goal of eventually eliminating the opposition.

While demonizing the Tea Parties, the Left is also manufacturing outrage, using a ploy that blames their opposition with baseless accusations (like racism, spitting on officials, misinformation campaigns), regardless of evidence, and use such tactic to not only destroy their oppositions legitimacy, but to also distract the nation from seeing what else the leftists are doing to destroy the nation.

The tactic is an old Marxist strategy, also used by Adolf Hitler in the early days of his regime. When a fire erupted in the Reichstag building that housed Germany's parliament, Hitler used the situation as an excuse to claim there was a conspiratorial plot by his enemies to overthrow the government, and that the anti-government purveyors of violence must be stopped. The lie paid off, and his supporters rallied around him, intimidated the opposition into silence, and consolidated the power of the Third Reich.

After the passage of the Health Care legislation a few windows were broken, a couple stupid threatening phone calls, an unproven racial slur was hurled at a black congressman, and a "Christian Right Wing" militia has been caught planning to use violence to overthrow the government - therefore, according to the Democrats all opponents of their socialistic policies are to blame, and the Democrats are prepared to rally together to intimidate the opposition into silence while proclaiming their anger at such anti-government activities by their opposition.

They are ignoring the American People, blaming them for "anti-government activities," and then continuing with their big government takeover of the American Form of Government with the plan to silence all opposition with intimidation methods not unlike those used in history.

The Democrats expect We The People to just throw up our hands, and give up. You can't win, they say. The bill is passed and there is no way you can repeal it, just give up, they say. They act like they are as mad as hell at the opposition that is daring to impeded their attempt to "give the people a gift" of big government. You must be crazy for being outraged over their attempt to wipe out your freedoms completely, and forever.

For those of you that fall for the lies, understand that they plan to make sure abortions are paid with public funds, that the private industry is out of business sometime during the second term of Obama, should he be elected (they seem to think he will be), that the public option and single payer will be the law of the land in the near future, and that dissent will be silenced without ever having to pass a sedition law because people will be so happy with their Government Health Care that the opposition won't dare speak a word. That is what they think, however. It is up to us to prove them wrong, and to stop the madness.

As for the intimidation tactic of calling the opposition "anti-government extremists" I must remind the leftists that I am not a nationalist (love of government), I am a patriot (love of country). I will not stand idly by as my freedoms, and the liberties of my children, and their children are taken away by a bunch of self-loving elitists who think they know what is better for the people than we do. The Colonists refused to stand for it, and we should follow their example.

The Revolution continues in November, but must not stop until all of this idiotic anti-American legislation is repealed - which means we must not rest until both houses, and the presidency, is out of enemy hands, and back on track to follow the U.S. Constitution. And even then, we cannot rest, for those people also should have their feet held to the fire.
