One of my listeners sent me the link to an American Thinker piece that is very interesting. The article claims that the Health Care law the Democrats have passed contains exemptions to the mandate that requires Americans to purchase health insurance, or pay a fine. Interestingly enough, the exempt are the Amish and the Muslims.
Is the government supposed to be playing favorites with religions like that?
The Amish get an exemption because their religion does not allow them to use outside health care. The Muslims have a similar belief.
Conservatives have a belief that the federal government should not have anything to do with health care, so why aren't we exempt?
