Laredo Texas Ranch Takeover By Mexican Drug Cartel Turns Out To Be True. . . NOT!!!!

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The worst of all fears, that a takeover by Mexican drug cartels of an American ranch in Texas, has taken many Americans into the realm of "OMG!" Problem is, as it was originally (which is why I never reported on it in the first place), the takeover of the Laredo ranch in Texas is, has been, and hopefully always will be, a hoax.

I understand the fear. Article 4, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution tasks the federal government with protecting the states from invasion, and many folks (I among them) believe that the failure of the U.S. Government to secure the border is a violation of this Constitutional demand. So, to drive the point home, what better news than an invasion of the magnitude that no one can deny that it is, in fact, an invasion.

Now, the proof that has surfaced regarding this claim, is the alleged police blotter, which claimants say is confirmation of the truth of the invasion.

BUZZ. . . Wrong!

1.) The blotter alludes to a Laredo Sheriff Office. There is no Laredo Sheriff's Office. There is a WEBB COUNTY Sheriff's office, which includes Laredo Texas.

2.) It mentions only ONE ranch when the original supposedly CONFIRMED story spoke of two ranches being invaded.

Inconsistency, and facts that actually aren't facts, tends to be a B.S. Flag indicator.

As a note, my original source that this was a bunch of garbage was when Rush Limbaugh had a caller tell him about it, and the conservative talk show host checked it out, and then said it was a load of bull. My second source of truth is the ever vigilant Jenn of the Jungle, who also contacted Laredo herself to learn the facts. Great work, my friends. Nothing like a little due diligence to keep the flies off the truth, and the B.S. in check.

Besides, even as lame as the main-extreme media is, one would think that if this was true, even they would have been willing to report it.
