Dabbling In O'Donnell's Past

By Douglas V. Gibbs

When Shirley Sherrod told her story about how she denied a white farmer aid due to her own racism, and then later the Democrats claimed it was a tale of how she was once a racist, and she changed her ways away from her racist tendencies as she grew older, I was amazed that the Left was actually willing to admit that they believed people's hearts can change. Yet, if a Conservative's past includes a single moment that is contradictory to their current beliefs, suddenly the person is a hypocrite, and in the case of Christine O'Donnell, unelectable.

Yet it never bothers those same leftists that Al Gore flies around in a private jet, and rides in a limo, while expecting everyone else to act green.

Anyway, Christine O'Donnell admitted in an interview that once upon a time in her life she dabbled in witchcraft. Therefore, to the leftists, and the moderate establishment Republicans, the Delaware Senatorial candidate is unelectable.

It's fascinating, you know, that the progressives feel this way. I suppose dabbling in horrible things makes you unelectable, and not worthy of serving, right?

Hmmm, if that's the case, then none of the below should have ever been in politics.

Thanks Doug Ross
