Christine O'Donnell Is Very Electable

By Douglas V. Gibbs

When Christine O'Donnell was in high school she dabbled in witchcraft. Her personal belief system dictates to her that masturbation is a sin. She has run into some tax troubles regarding her non-profit organization.

And compared to your average Democrat (tax cheats, crooks, client number 9, and Marxists, oh my!), O'Donnell is as pure as the wind driven snow.

In the ad O'Donnell has recently put on the air (video above), she comes across as approachable, emphasizing that she is simply one of us. Fact is, her politics frightens The Left because they can't compete with reason and the truth. They cannot argue the issues with her, so they have targeted her with personal attacks.

As a result of those attacks, the average Democrat, RINO, and Establishment Republican, has determined that Christine O'Donnell is unelectable.

However, true conservatism wins every time, and if people are willing to analyze her positions, rather than the ridiculous attacks, folks will note O'Donnell's devotion to conservative principles.

Christine O'Donnell is the conservative candidate that beat a RINO, so obviously Delaware is ready for a conservative candidate. The Leftists of both parties are reeling, throwing all they can at her to demonize her. But we know that the liberal left (Democrats, RINOs) are idiots, so why is anyone listening to them?

Yes, Delaware is a blue state. The belief, then, is that if a Republican is to win in a blue state, that person has to be a moderate or progressive Republican.

Then how do you explain Chris Christie in New Jersey? Or, for that matter, how do you explain Reagan's 49 state landslide, when all he ran on was his conservatism?

Do I think O'Donnell is a shoe-in? Of course not. In fact, she's still quite a few points behind. But she is definitely not unelectable. The ad shows that she is serious about this race, and that she realizes the voters in Delaware are not so stupid as to just fall for the Democrat's attack games. She appealed to their reasonable side, and I believe the ad will be very effective.

In a time when liberalism is failing badly across the nation in all levels of government, the very fact that Christine O'Donnell is fiscal conservative will put her into the winning seat. The fact that she is a social conservative will help her more than the liberals are willing to admit.

Her opponent is a social liberal who formerly claimed to be a Marxist.

That makes Christine O'Donnell very electable.
