Ezekiel At The Pumpkin Patch

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Our oldest grandson, Ezekiel (3 years old in a couple weeks) went with my wife and I yesterday to a local pumpkin patch that also had a number of attractions. We braved the cornfield maze, rode the train, visited the petting zoo, and bought a couple pumpkins for Ezekiel, and his cousin Cortez.

Ezekiel was excited about the trip. . .

The pig race was definitely a fan favorite. . .

The petting zoo was not something little Ezekiel enjoyed. In fact, the only animals he truly liked were the ones behind bars, and he didn't even get very close in those cases. . .

The turkey downright frightened him. . .

The goats made him nervous. . .

Even after Grandma was holding him, Ezekiel was suspicious of the animals. . .

After the train ride and the journey through the cornfield maze, we checked out the pumpkins. . .

Ezekiel's favorite part of the day seemed to be when he got the opportunity to play in the straw. . .

By the end of the day Ezekiel was wiped out, and Grandma seemed to be the best place to rest. . .
