Pelosi Remains at Top of Democrat Leadership Heap

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The tone-deaf Democrats, like all good collectivists, elected hard left liberal witch of the west Nancy Pelosi to remain the Democrat leader of the House of Representatives. The loser, Heath Shuler, gained 43 votes - which means there are 43 Democrats who are only mostly insane.

Pelosi, 70 (130 in Botox Years) believes it is up to her to quell the discontent in the Democrat Party. As minority leader, her primary focus will undoubtedly be managing the series of personal attacks against any Republican she deems a target.

Apparently, San Francisco is not the only place full of hard left socialist traitors.

Steny Hoyer keeps his number 2 spot, and Jim Clyburn was given a token third place spot, a new position called "assistant leader," in the hopes of keeping black Democrats happy (wow, them Democrats sure are race conscious).

Think about it. Clyburn's new position allows him to get all the perks (a driver too!) that a leadership position offers also opens up a whole new can of spending. Oh, and the Black Caucus is not buying it. They see it as a token offering, and believe Clyburn should be in Hoyer's position.

Hmmm, do I hear infighting breaking out?

For Pelosi it is all about power, not honor. She could care less that her party lost badly on election day. Her lack of class, when compared to Dennis Hastert, is sickening. After the 2006 election, when the Republicans lost the House majority they they had held for 12 years, then-Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., said he would step down as party leader in the next Congress - and he did.
