Civility TIME

By Douglas V. Gibbs

TIME's Headline reads: Wisconsin's Governor Wins, but Is He Now Dead Man Walker?

"Civility for thee, not for me," the leftists seem to be saying.

The rhetoric doesn't bother me, to be honest. We know the Left is populated by idiots, and that the answer to any question is, "Whatever benefits the leftist agenda most," even if it is a lie, contradiction, or completely moronic piece of idiocy. However, TIME Magazine's headline still bears mentioning, if anything, to illustrate the hypocrisy of the Left.

Of course, the incivility of the Democrats goes back to a time before any of us was born. Woodrow Wilson was a foul mouthed progressive that threatened those around him all the time. Liberals tend to be that way. Yet, they cry about "crosshairs" on Palin's website, and blame those crosshairs on a shooting of a Democrat representative (Giffords), even though the shooter had never visited Palin's site, and could care less about the co-called "violent rhetoric" being tossed about. In truth, the shooter is simply nuts.

The Left's call for civility, which was really a call for censorship of the Right, doesn't apply, apparently, to their fellow leftists.

This latest example of the Left's hypocrisy claiming that Wisconsin's Republican Governor Scott Walker, who is a target of much hate by the Left for daring to try to balance his budget, is a dead man, is not a good example of civility. And the "threat," no less, appeared in a headline on TIME Magazine's website, who is supposed to be a professional news outlet, and the epitome of civility.

I wonder how many liberal talkers will mention this?

If a GOP supporter had posted something similar about someone like, say, Pelosi or Reid, all hell would have broke loose.
