Wisconsin Democracy

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The protesting leftists in Wisconsin have caused $700,000 in damage, and Republicans have been receiving death threats. The protesters chant "This is what democracy looks like" as they force themselves into the capitol building. The Democrats that should be in the capitol have fled the state, refusing to do the work of the voters.

This is not what democracy looks like. This is what thuggery and cowardice looks like.

The democratic process put the Republicans in power so that they could do what they are doing. Meanwhile, the leftists are showing America that as it turns out it is they that are everything they accuse the Tea Party of being.

Could you imagine if the Tea Party acted like these leftist protesters, and caused the damage that these people have caused?

Meanwhile, in Washington, Obama is wrapped up in an anti-bullying summit.

And as the damage is being caused in Wisconsin by the protesters, many of which are teachers, a report came out that says that 82% of American Schools are failing.

And at the center of it all are teachers and the federal government. Under federal control the schools have worsened, and bullying has worsened. The teachers are failing to teach our children, and are failing to keep the kids from beating each other up.

Don't get me wrong, I love teachers, or at least the ones that take their jobs seriously. . . but this protest has nothing to do with the kids. It is all about how much they can use the taxpayers.

As the madness continues, the ridiculous Democrats are filing recall against 14 GOP members, and plan to initiate a recall against Governor Walker on January 3rd of next year (when he is first eligible to be recalled).

Typical dirty tactics of the left.

Despite the Democrat Party's insanity, the GOP found a way to pass the limits on collective bargaining. While the Left abandons the state, and their followers throw temper tantrums, the Republicans are getting work done.
