The disaster alert system is expanding. You will soon be able to receive emergency alerts on your cell phone. The idea is that almost everybody has a cell phone, and so this would be an efficient way to alert the populace of impending emergencies.
The plan will begin in New York City, and expand as the bugs are worked out.
The only thing that I have to say about this is, terrorists have cell phones too. Wouldn't we be warning them that we know what they are doing?
