Temecula September 11th Ten Year Memorial

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Last night, after my radio show, I attended a 9/11 memorial program offered by ACT! for America Temecula/Murrieta Chapter. The speaker, on top of the memorial portion of the meeting, provided a Christian reflection on Sharia Law. The speaker was orthodox priest Father Josiah Trenham.

The speaker was the first priest I have ever met, and on top of it, an orthodox priest. I definitely had a preconceived notion on what I expected the priest to say, but fortunately, I was wrong.

Father Josiah explained that the Eastern Orthodox Church was not new to the advances of Islam, nor the dictates of Sharia. He explained how, unlike Christianity, there is no separation between the religion of Islam, and politics. Islam is Sharia, and Sharia is Islam.

The priest told us tales of his trips to Europe and Jerusalem, explained the dhimmitude that Christians and Jews must endure in Muslim countries, and the assumption of superiority that Islam takes over all other societies.

He added that in a way, we have brought this on ourselves by allowing our society to deteriorate. Our hope lies in returning to the value based society we once were.
