Math of Obama's Popularity Doesn't Add Up

By Douglas V. Gibbs

76% Dissatisfied with Direction of Country

Only 16% say America heading in the right direction

Americans' satisfaction with the way things are going in the United States remains low at 13% in October, similar to the 11% last month and still among the lowest on record.

So tell me. How is it that Obama's approval rating remains above 40%?

Media manipulation? Lies? Propaganda? It's gotta be something, because the numbers just don't add up.

If they were telling the truth, and if they weren't taking the polls in the population centers where through entitlements the votes have been purchased by the democrats, I am willing to bet Obama's approval rating is way below 20%.

The popularity of the Tea Party, and Sarah Palin, is a pretty big clue of what the mood of the country is.
