Left Celebrates Bogus 8.5% Unemployment

By Douglas V. Gibbs

We are told the recovery is in high gear, and the recent addition of a couple hundred thousand jobs is proof, and it is all because of Obama's policies.  Never mind we are still hundreds of thousands of jobs below what is necessary.

Could it be there is growth despite Obama?

The unemployment rate has now dropped another fraction of a percentage point, and the democrats are celebrating.  The thing is, if the size of the workforce was the same as the year Obama was inaugurated, the unemployment rate would be 10.9%.   Besides, government doesn't create jobs that grow the economy.  Government can only create the opportunity for job growth by getting out of the way.

In his euphoria, Obama said there has been "growth" because of the middle class tax cuts and that Congress should extend them to a full year when they return. . . as if it was them that kept it at only two months.

First of all, they are not middle class tax cuts.  What the payroll break is has nothing to do with taxes.  It is basically them taking less out of your paycheck for "benefits," like social security.  The taxes have remained unchanged.  Second, it was Obama and the democrats that demanded it only be good for two months. It was the republicans holding out for a full year's worth.  And now he's trying to turn it, to make it look like Congress refused the year, and kept it at two months.

That is how democrats work.

The deception is incredible.

They fought for only two months so that in the heart of the campaign season they can fight with the GOP over the issue again, have the GOP refuse the democrat party's ridiculous stipulations, and then they will once again crow, "See, those republicans are against giving the middle class tax cuts."

The country is crumbling around him, and he is trying to come across as some small government, tax cutting guy.  That is because the truth of who the liberal democrats really are loses.  Obama has to look like he's moved to the center.  He has to seem conservative, and paint the GOP as the tax raising demons, to pull off another win.

That is how he won last time, too.  And now, he expects you to believe his lies, and forget the damage he has caused over the last few years.

Barry Obama wants you to vote him back in, and then he will instill in you a fear of the government.  Obama wants you to fear the federal government, rather than them fear the people.

He uses the unions (and rewards them with waivers, among other things), and ACORN, and any other means of intimidation he can.

This election is going to get ugly. You think the attacks against Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain (note that no evidence was ever produced regarding the accusations) and against Newt Gingrich was bad, you haven't seen anything, yet. . . especially if Santorum wins the nomination.

A Santorum win will really bring the wrath of the liberal democrats, because they especially hate genuine conservatives.
