Thomas Kinkade passed away in his home of "natural causes" tonight. The artist, known for his brushwork paintings of idyllic landscapes, cottages and churches has established himself as a beloved artist who was not exactly fondly accepted by the art establishment.
His paintings generally depict tranquil scenes with lush landscaping and streams running nearby. Many contain images from Bible passages.
