Chick-fil-A moment spills into 2016 Obama Movie

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The Tea Party's success in the 2010 Mid-Term Election was no fluke. The outpouring of support towards Chick-fil-A after the President of the restaurant chain verbalized his support for traditional marriage was no accident. A little known movie advertised through the conservative highway on board the Internet has surprised everyone.

The film is "2016: Obama's America," based on Dinesh D'Souza's book "The Roots of Obama's Rage," and it attempts to determine why Obama is so radical in his Marxist beliefs, why he is so determined to destroy this nation as it was founded and replace its system with a foreign system based on statist ideas that are in direct opposition to our U.S. Constitution, while relegating the United States to a minor role on the world's stage.

The popularity of the film has boosted the number of theaters willing to show it, and to the surprise of the leftist liberal establishment, the film is the second biggest money-maker per-theater behind the "Expendables 2," the nation's No. 1 movie.

From one theater, to a limited 169, to now over 800 this weekend, the film is growing in ways the liberal left machine never expected. Over the weekend "2016" earned $7,391 per theater, topping huge hits like "The Dark Knight Rises," "The Bourne Legacy," and "The Campaign." Last weekend, it earned $1,249,000, a 293 percent one-week surge. "Expendables 2" earned $8,670 per theater, tops in the country. What's more: It was the 13th overall money maker last week, following a movie that was showing in over 1,100 theaters.

The mainstream is no longer trusted, and when the truth reveals itself, people flock to it. The truth always wins out in the end. This is why Conservative America are not the only ones coming to see this film in droves. The film's highest-grossing showings have been in the liberal havens of Manhattan and Los Angeles.

Critics suggest the film is simply preaching to the choir, but the reality is that the questions the film poses is also reaching the masses that previously bought into Obama's Cult of Personality. Obama's presidency, and the madness of the democrats in Congress, have revealed that these people are not who they say they are, but something worse. Conservatives have known about the Marxists in Washington since the beginning, and now the rest of America is beginning to see it too.
