Liberal Media Says Romney Changed the Subject

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The liberal media has determined that Romney's mention of President Obama's claim he supports the redistribution of wealth is an attempt to shift attention away from the recent video of Romney discussing the 47 percent of Americans that don't pay taxes, and are dependent upon government.

How is that a change in subject?

The redistribution of wealth is a socialist technique of taxing the wealthier heavily so as to redistribute their wealth to those lower on the economic ladder - in other words, making dependent upon the money taken by force from the successful those in the lower classes.

Romney is saying that those that don't pay taxes are not going to be concerned over a campaign issue regarding lowering taxes. That is just common sense. Of course they don't care. They don't pay taxes.

But what the liberal left misses, because their premise is somewhere in left field, is that by his statement Romney was not being "insensitive." The liberal left democrats believe they are being merciful by enslaving Americans with dependency upon governmental programs. Romney is saying he wants to lift people out of the stigma of government dependency - and the liberals are calling him mean for it - and now are saying he's trying to change the subject when his statement about Obama's call for a redistribution of wealth is on target, and in tune with the subject at hand.

The liberals miss it, but the voters don't. In their attempt to shame Romney, they don't realize the voters are more informed than they are willing to recognize, and the voters realize that the liberals don't want people to get out of poverty, and succeed. If that happens, the democrats will lose the votes they bought with promises of entitlements.

Romney didn't try to change the subject. His response was spot on.
