Seeds of Faith Germinating in Richard Dawkins

By Douglas V. Gibbs

"I think a particular god like Zeus or Jehovah is as unlikely as the tooth fairy, but the idea of some kind of creative intelligence is not quite so ridiculous."

Such is a quote from an interview with Playboy magazine by renowned evolutionary biologist and atheist Richard Dawkins. During the interview he discussed a range of topics related to science and religion, and though the author of "The God Delusion" was not ready to give any credence to the concept of a Christian God, though he admitted that he had not read the entire Bible, he did admit that the idea of a Creative intelligence is not quite so ridiculous.

Real scientific evidence points toward an intelligent designer, and die-hard big bang theory supporters are finding it more and more difficult to cling to their "it happened out of pure luck" theory, and admit that there is a reasonable chance that there is a creator. Dawkins, it may be, is the latest among those experiencing conversion towards accepting the existence of God.

As for the Bible, Dawkins claims that though he may not have read the entire Bible, he thinks he is more knowledgeable on the subject than most Christians. He also said that his favorite book is Ecclesiastes, because of it's wonderful poetry in 17th century English.

Now, now, baby steps. Just because most Christians have given him the idea that he knows more about the Bible than does he through their own ignorance(or laziness) doesn't mean the Word will return void.

A little leaven after all. Oh and Yay God!

Note to Richard Dawkins: May the Force be with you. - By the way. The force is Jesus. Who died for your sins against God. Rose from the dead. And is still alive. Since He is still alive He can hear your voice and the cry of your heart. Seek Him and you will find many answers.
