Was Democrat Platform Problem with God and Jerusalem being called Israel's Capital a direct result of the rising population of Muslims in the Democrat Party?

By Douglas V. Gibbs

At the DNC Convention the Democrats kicked God off their platform, along with recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. When the democrats were met with opposition to their decision, they decided to turn things around, and vote to put God and Jerusalem as Israel's capital back on their platform. However, the vote did not go so well. The nays were as loud as the ayes.

The democrats, in their "you get it the way we want it whether you like it or not" style, forced the two items back on the platform, regardless of the vote, anyway.

Was this whole episode because the Democrats are Godless?

Perhaps that was a part of it. But I think there is more to it than that.

The number of Muslim delegates attending the Democratic National Convention has quadrupled since 2004, according to a Muslim advocacy group. More than 100 Muslim delegates represented about 20 states at the Democrat convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.

That’s up from 25 delegates in 2004.

Muslims had around 5% of the delegates in a Democrat Party 2012 convention. The followers of Islam doesn't even represent 1% of America's total population, however.

With that kind of presence, could it be that their influence was a part of the Democrat Party wanting to abandon God, and Israel, on their platform?
