The Difference between Republicans and Democrats

Ronald Reagan said that, "Republicans believe every day is the 4th of July.  Democrats believe every day is April 15th.

That is not the only difference. . .

Republicans believe life is precious, and children are a blessing to their parents.  Democrats believe pregnancy is punishment, babies are disposable, and children are best left to be raised by the collective.

Republicans believe marriage is a blessed institution that is one of the building blocks of the family unit, which is also an important part of a moral and virtuous society.  Democrats believe marriage is a civil right that can be defined by government to push a political agenda, and is an important part of destroying the traditional foundations of this nation.

Republicans believe that Islam, and specifically the teachings of the Koran, are the reason Muslim terrorists attack Americans.  Democrats believe that even though Islamic leaders claim they hate America, and encourage jihad, America's prosperity and international involvement in the protection of freedom is the reason that terrorists attack Americans - and that the real dangerous religious militants are Christians and conservatives because they dare to disagree with liberalism, and gather peacefully at patriotic rallies.

Republicans believe that the U.S. Constitution is the law of the land.  Democrats believe the Constitution is an obstacle to their statist aims, and must be manipulated to give the government more control over the people.

Republicans believe that Americans have the right to keep and bear arms for self-protection, protection against a tyrannical governmental system, and any other legal activity the individual decides.  Democrats believe guns to be dangerous, and the cause of much of the violence in society - so as criminals use guns in a violent manner, the peace-loving, law-abiding citizens must have their guns taken away.

Republicans believe the Earth is a resilient planet that undergoes natural cycles of warming and cooling due to a number of natural factors, one of which includes solar activity. "Greenhouse Gas" accounts for only 0.035 percent of our atmosphere.  The Earth even has its own way to deal with oil spills.  Democrats believe the Earth is too fragile to handle anything we throw at it, and that our actions, including spewing less than 1% of the total carbon that winds up in the atmosphere, is causing the planet to warm in such a way that life as we know it will be destroyed - even though the Earth hasn't warmed in over a decade, and during the 1970s these same people claimed our actions were cooling the planet and by the new millennium we would we up to our necks in a new ice age.  When the weather is warm, it is Global Warming's fault, and when the weather is cold it is Global Warming's fault.

Republicans believe that cutting taxes, encouraging business growth through a reduction in regulations, and reducing spending encourages economic prosperity.  Democrats believe that taking money away from the economy through heavy taxation, increased regulations against businesses that makes it more difficult to do business, and increasing government spending to the point that credit agencies are reducing the nation's credit rating, and to the point that the dollar deflates in value, and increases unemployment, encourages consumerism and a thriving economy.

Republicans believe that a free market system of capitalism where profit is a driving force for prosperity, and competition between businesses exists, encourages efficiency and innovation.  Democrats believe profit is greedy, limiting what a person or company can make is good for society, and that government, with no profit margin or drive for efficiency, can somehow be innovative and create competition in the market.

Republicans believe health care is best left to a free market where a personal relationship between the physician and patient exists.  Democrats believe that health care offered by government is a right, and should be like a free buffet table, and in a system where government can dictate your actions as a citizen for the betterment of the overall health system, is best.

Republicans believe you are an intelligent individual capable of making the decisions to best run your life.  Democrats believe the community is more important than your individualism, and that their dictates on what they believe is best for the collective, is the best way for them to run your life.

Republicans believe that bad guys, like Iran and North Korea, mean what they say when they claim they want to destroy us, and our allies.  Democrats believe they must be mad at something we did, so if we kiss their butts, and appease them, they will like us better.

Republicans believe that all Americans have a right to free speech and love the fact that talk radio and Fox News presents an alternative to the otherwise liberal media.  Democrats believe that all Americans have a right to free speech as long as you agree with them, and that talk radio and Fox News must be shut down - as evidenced by their constant calls for such a thing, and Obama including talk radio and Fox News on his enemies list.

Republicans believe that the United States was founded on virtuous principles and as the nation grew evils like slavery was eventually eradicated, as a sign of our great growth as a nation.  Democrats believe this nation is evil, and now we must pay restitution for that evil founding.

Republicans believe that a government that fears the people is a just government.  Democrats believe that if the people don't fear the government, they must be taught to change their tune.

Republicans believe that we are all Americans, and that our commonalities should united us.  Democrats believe we are all members of different groups, and champion multiculturalism - content to make sure those groups are warring with each other to benefit their ideology.

Republicans believe in self-reliance, and the gratification of a job well done.  Democrats believe in government dependency, and buying votes by offering more goodies from the treasury.

Republicans believe that this nation exists under the rule of law, and that law is the U.S. Constitution.  Democrats believe this nation exists under the rule of man, and then call it the rule of law - and that law is the interpretations and opinions of a bunch of men that call themselves judges.

Republicans believe in religious liberty, that religion must be protected from government, and that religious institutions have an important role in our culture and political system.  Democrats believe in religious liberty, unless your religion disagrees with their policies, of which then your religion to change and conform with what the government mandates.  Otherwise, you are a potential domestic terrorist.

Republicans thank the military and veterans for their service, and willingness to put their lives on the line for freedom.  Democrats consider the military, and veterans, to be dangerous when reintroduced to society - therefore they must be disarmed, sent to counseling and therapy, and placed on a list of dangerous individuals along with felons and terrorists.

Republicans believes the Congress, and the President are servants of the people.  Democrats believe the president is the most powerful person on the planet, and if the Congress refuses to be a rubber stamp for the President, the system is broken . . . unless that President has the last name of Bush, Reagan, Ford, Nixon. . .

Republicans believe that if a business is a failure, finds itself in peril because of bad business practices, and is unable to continue on, it must either be allowed to fail and close its doors, file bankruptcy and reorganize, or that the private sector can compete for the purchase of that company, or pieces of it as it breaks apart.  Democrats believe that corporations are evil, so if they fail they must be bailed out with taxpayer money, and then be allowed to continue on with the same policies that led to their failure - or be run by the government.

Republicans believe that when Americans die at the hands of terrorists, and the government lies about it and covers up their involvement, or lack thereof, it is criminal, and possibly treasonous.  Democrats believe that Americans dying by the hands of terrorists, and then the government doing nothing to protect those individuals, and then lying about it, is no big deal, and should just be forgotten.

Republicans believe that the government giving guns to drug cartels and then thousands of people dying (including American Border Patrol Agents), and the government lying about their involvement, covering up their involvement, and suppressing evidence, is grounds for impeachment.  Democrats believe it is business as usual, and then when that is not accepted, blame it on Bush.

I could go on damn near forever, and I am sure you have some of your own, but I think it would be wise to stop here. . .

I think you get the picture. .  . right?
