Gay Rights: Framing the Debate for a Tyranny

After you are done reading this, my sources below will shock you...

By Douglas V. Gibbs

If we were to take the issue of gay rights as it is presented, suspending reality to allow a behavior to be treated as something that is no different than skin color, the response to the call for gay rights is a no-brainer.  Of course nobody wants to disallow anybody from anything.  If the gay agenda is purely about being able to have the same rights as everyone else, then why would anyone wish to deny anybody any rights?

But, as with everything else in line with the liberal left, things are not what they seem.

No Christian is demanding that laws be passed to outlaw the sexual behavior of homosexuality, yet that is how the gay agenda presents their "struggle" to the less-than-informed masses.

Sure, Christians think that the gay lifestyle is a sin.  That doesn't make them "haters."  That means that they believe in a certain set of standards that the homosexuals do not agree with.  I believe lying is a sin, but I never stopped loving my children when I knew they were telling a lie. . . and I sure as hell didn't think they were doomed to Hell because they dared to tell those lies.

The liberal left frames the debate in such a way that opposition to their argument opens one up to attacks.  You are expected to debate within the parameters they set forth, or you are attacked and ridiculed for daring to disagree with them.  It is the politics of fear, anger, and ridicule - and it is allowing the gay agenda to accomplish their true motive. . . which is the same motive of all leftists. . . to destroy their opposition.

America is not a democracy.  It is a republic.  The founders recognized that democracies always fail, descending into mob-rule, or as Jefferson called it, the tyranny of the majority.  In the case of the homosexual agenda, which represents about 2% of the total population, it has become the tyranny of the well funded, and the tyranny of the loudest and most obnoxious.

By framing the debate, the gay agenda is working to dominate our culture through the entertainment industry, educational system, the political scene, and any other way they can.  "Love whoever you want," they say.  On the surface, that is perfectly reasonable.  Inside, we agree.

Darkness always masquerades as a flash of light, at first.

If you dare to disagree, you are attacked.  You are a hater, or have a phobia against homosexuality, or you wish to deny people their rights,  You are a pariah if you dare question the invasion of the Christian institution of marriage by a community that has never been monogamous for the most part; or if you dare to not want people who practice the same sex perversion of the family to adopt kids who will be adversely affected by the dangerous twist on the family unit; or if you dare to not want a gay scout master to lead the boy scouts, which would include taking those innocent children on a camp-out away from prying eyes.  You have been ordered by them to accept their lifestyle based on their presentation of the debate, or else.  And all of your arguments are hateful, and insensitive.

As a Christian, you are expected to turn your back on what you know in your heart is wrong, or else you are a bigot.  And while they are at it, they will not only force society to accept their belief that homosexuality should be accepted as mainstream, but also they are working to push Christianity into a corner, away from society, out of the schools, and even out of the public eye.

Hypocrisy above all hypocrisy.

The gay agenda believes religion should not be breathed by anyone on school campuses, or down the halls of government, but their belief should be touted as being important, and it should be paraded through our schools, and throughout government institutions.

And it hasn't stopped with homosexuality.  In March of this year the Department of Health and Human Services announced plans to consider allowing Medicare to pay for genital mutilation, also known as sex change surgeries, and invited public comments on the topic. Granted, they later pulled the proposal, but the very fact that it was being pushed says a lot.  Now, we are hearing more and more stories about children even being subjected to this insanity, and undergoing these barbaric operations.

Pedophiles are also jumping in, campaigning to be the next "sexual orientation" to be made normal by government.

In the end, however, the goal is not rights, but to destroy marriage, and to destroy Christianity.  That is why there is so much opposition to this.  Sin is destructive, and homosexuality is no different.  It seeks to replace its opposition, not co-exist with its opposition.

If homosexuality becomes a civil right, it then becomes a weapon against its opposition.  Once the status of constitutional right is bestowed upon homosexuality, they will begin suing every institution that dares to stand against them, and they will win those cases - and it won't stop until all opposition is either silenced, or destroyed.

Such is the attributes of a tyranny.
