Oppose Obama, and you are a racist - Because Obama is Busy Fighting "The Man"

By Douglas V. Gibbs

We hear it time and time again.  If you oppose Obamacare, you are a racist.  If you criticize Obama, you are a racist.  If you even breath a word in opposition to liberalism, you are a racist.

The TEA Party has been labeled racist, even though there is not a racist bone in the movement.  Republicans have been labeled as racist, even though it is the party that abolished slavery, opposed Democrat Woodrow Wilson segregating the military, and was the party behind the proposal and support of the Civil Rights Movement of 1964.  Conservatives are called racist all the time by the Left. And if you are black, and decide to be a conservative republican?  Well, then according to the democrats, that makes you a traitor.

However, the Black Panthers trying to suppress the vote of white republicans was not considered racist, nor is the numerous attacks against white conservatives by liberal minorities.

Why is that?

I have been told by the liberal left time and time again, only white republicans can be racist.  You can't be racist against "rich whitey."

This is a battle born in the neighborhood, and ingrained in the culture.  It is a part of the war against "The Man."  "The Man" is the establishment, and "The Man" represents all things that is considered as being the enemy to blacks, Hispanics, the down and out, and the disadvantaged.  "The Man" is at fault for everything, and "The Man" must be defeated.

So what were they supposed to do when Obama, the nation's first black president, became "The Man?"

"He's black," I was told, "so he can't be The Man."

Therefore, if Obama can't be "The Man," even though he is in the historic position as leader of "The Man", Obama must be seen as also fighting "The Man."

That is why Obama voted "Present" when he was an Illinois State Senator, and that is why to this day he refuses to attach himself to any issue, or even his own policies.  Obama is too busy campaigning. . . against "The Man."

Whenever there is a failure of Obama's policies, it isn't Obama's fault.  It is the fault of "The Man," who is out there somewhere, sabotaging everything Obama is doing, because "The Man" is racist.

Until people realize that Obama is "The Man," and "The Man" either does not have a clue what he is doing, or he is destroying our system purposely so that he can replace it with a more totalitarian, communistic system, he will continue to act as a revolutionary, fighting the good fight against racism, and "The Man."  He will continue to do no wrong, because he won't be one with his policies.  All failures of this administration are considered by the Left as being the fault of "The Man."

Which means these ridiculous accusations of daring-to-oppose-Obama's-policies-makes-you-a-racist will continue, and be effective in creating sympathy for the poor, disadvantaged black president who is fighting so bravely against the invisible villain we've always knows as "The Man."
