At Louisiana Walmart EBT Card Holders Get What They Can from the Government

By Douglas V. Gibbs

In Greece the government runs out of money, and the people pour into the streets to riot over their lost free goodies.  In America, a computer glitch erased the limits on EBT Cards, and the Food Stamp recipients loaded their carts as high as they could at the local Walmart to take advantage of all the "free" stuff.

I wonder if the EBT Cards had suddenly disallowed any purchases if these folks, like the socialists in Greece, would have poured into the streets to riot, too.  Oh, wait, that did happen in a bunch of other States on Saturday, and though there weren't any riots, the natives were definitely restless.

Hmmmm.  Welfare can't seem to work right, and the Obamacare system is an abysmal failure.  And the government thinks it is good at running things?

I am the kind of person that if in the fast-food drive-through the teen with the headset on gives me too much change, I bring it to their attention, and return the extra money.  I have never understood looters walking down the street with televisions on their shoulders during riots, and I do not understand this.

Nothing is free.  All of that free stuff in the shopping cart is paid for by somebody.  But the free-loaders of entitlement programs don't care.  They wish to cash in what they can.

And when the freebie-session was over, the overstuffed carts that did not make it to the check-out line in time were abandoned.

Amazing, yet disillusioning.  Remember, these are the kind of people that vote Democrat, all because the government promises them things.  Their votes are being bought, and they are being conditioned not to be self-reliant, and that the American Dream does not apply to them.

In fact, the goal of the liberal Democrats is for all citizens to be like these people.  The leftists in Washington want our life to be a mediocre game where we are "beneficiaries," the elite "gives us things," and individuality is stamped out.

A dependent population doesn't fight back, and are easy to control. . . just the way the government likes it.
