ESPN Learned: Don't Act Gay Around the Gay Guy

By Douglas V. Gibbs

ESPN apologized for reporting on Michael Sam's shower habits, the first "openly gay" player in the NFL, who was picked up by the St. Louis Rams.

ESPN shouldn't ram their way into this issue in such a way.  They reported, so that Sam would not make his teammates uncomfortable, that he does not ram his way into the showers, but waits until everyone is done.

Everyone got upset.  Sam shouldn't be reported on over his gay behavior, but regarding his behavior on the field.  So, ESPN was scolded.  They should not be ramming his gay habits, or gay decisions, down our throat.  Keep the gay talk to a minimum, leave the homosexuality part of the verbal intercourse out of it, and
let's talk Rams football.

Let him be comfortable about being gay by not bringing up his gayness.

That ought to open up the field so that we can have a gay ol' time with some football.
