Sheila Jackson Lee Blames GOP For Ebola Outbreak

by JASmius

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is an official Democrat propaganda point.  And how appropriate that SJL was being interviewed by MSNBCCCP.

I’m frustrated we didn’t take the initial encounter in Dallas at the level that it should have been. The county officials have been excellent, but the fractured infrastructure, and understanding what was happening to Mr. Duncan did not translate to those front liners, the nurses and techs and others. That is unfair to them. I’m frustrated with that. I will also say that Center For Disease Control suffers from the continued gridlock in Washington and Republicans not funding fully even though the fight against Ebola is bipartisan, the CDC and NIH has suffered in its funding.

The "county officials" were incompetent.  The "infrastructure" wasn't "fractured," because there isn't any infrastructure for treating ebola in Dallas; only four (count 'em, four) hospitals in the entire country are trained and equipped to handle a contagion like hemorrhagic fever.  And they wouldn't need to be if the Obama Regime would keep ebola out of the country by closing the borders and cutting off flights from West Africa.  That is the federal government's constitutional responsibility (Article IV, Section 4), not self-made boondoggles like the Centers for Disease Conflation Control & Propagation Prevention and the National Institutes for Heaving Health.  Which, nevertheless, have been and remain overfunded by House Republicans, including in the latest continuing resolution, as came out yesterday.

And just imagine, my friends: the U.S. Representative from Texas-18 thinks this vicious twaddle is helping her party.

Exit question: Remember when continuing resolutions replacing the formal department-by-department budget process was a big deal?  Good times, good times.
