Muslim Terrorist Attacks Shoppers at Open Market in Berlin

Christmas open markets are a beloved German tradition.

A truck, carjacked by a Muslim Terrorist, was used to crash into an open market in Berlin, killing 12, and injuring more than 50 people.  The attack happened outside the landmark Kaiser Wilhelm memorial church, which was damaged in World War II, and has become a popular tourist attraction in the area.

A suspect was arrested by German police about 100 meters away.  The identity of the suspected assailant has not been confirmed.

Medical personnel on the scene, and at nearby facilities receiving victims, reported that most of the injured were diagnosed with fractures and internal injuries, including bleeding and damaged organs.  Off-duty medical personnel were brought in to help with the massive number of surgeries that are expected to go on throughout the night.

The speed of the vehicle was 40 mph as it drilled its way through bodies, and plowed through tables and market stalls.

The style of the attack has been encouraged by ISIS in recent propaganda messages to Muslims around the world, and is eerily reminiscent of the Nice truck attack in July, when a Muslim drove a massive vehicle into a crowd gathered for a Bastille Day firework display.  In that incident, 86 people were killed, and hundreds injured.

President-elect Donald Trump said the attack was by “Islamist terrorists”, while also offering prayers for the victims and their loved ones.  “ISIS and other Islamist terrorists continually slaughter Christians in their communities and places of worship as part of their global jihad. These terrorists and their regional and worldwide networks must be eradicated from the face of the Earth, a mission we will carry out with all freedom-loving partners.”

The attack in Berlin follows a U.S. Government message to Americans abroad, cautioning Americans to be aware in markets and other public places, saying Muslim groups including Islamic State and al-Qaida were focusing “on the upcoming holiday season and associated events”.

The Obama administration was not so sure the attack was "Islamic terrorism."  The White House said the incident “appears to have been a terrorist attack”.

German Police is also following the appeasement path the Obama White House is traveling down, saying that they could not confirm whether it was a deliberate attack or an accident.  A spokesperson said: “We are investigating whether it was a terror attack but do not yet know what was behind it.”

Meanwhile, leftists worldwide continue to warn against banning the immigration of Muslims into a country, condemning any moves to limit the import of Muslim migrants into any country.  Donald Trump, however, won the United States presidential election with the proposal on his platform that Muslim immigration should be stopped until we know what we are dealing with.
