Also, there is strong reason to believe that Mrs. Cruz had also become Canadian. Ted had said his mother had dual citizenship and that was not possible because in 1970 Canada did not recognize dual citizenship. Dual citizenship in Canada became legal in 1976. The issue of John McCain going through hell when he ran for President because he was born in Panama again shows the ignorance toward our Constitution. He was a natural born American citizen because his father was an American citizen. End of argument on that one but they tortured McCain in the hopes of knocking him out of the race. You must read NBC in the The Law of Nations completely. It clearly states that natural born citizenship is passed from father to children. Personally, I like born on US soil of 2 US citizens but the writings of our founders say differently. The Law of Nations was written using natural law and our constitution was created using natural law. Our founders make note of referring to the Law of Nations many times during the creation of our founding documents. NBC was never defined in the constitution (nothing is defined) because it was written in simple English terms. Everyone of the time knew what NBC meant. We have distorted so many things in the Constitution (IE separation of church and state, anchor baby citizenship, both of which are not in the Constitution.). Kamala Harris was born a natural born citizen of Jamaica by way of her father. If she was never naturalized she is still technically a citizen of Jamaica. These are little things people have simply, by choice, forgotten about. I am sure these comments will create a ton of debate but bottom line Kamala Harris is not eligible no matter which definition of NBC circulating today you want to use.KarenBnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27654025.post-79636973244681366092019-07-12T08:37:48.838-07:002019-07-12T08:37:48.838-07:00Is that why you lost every case on the subject, Ma...Is that why you lost every case on the subject, Mario?ASK Esqhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17012594955443470040noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27654025.post-75558059931019405542019-07-12T08:37:10.409-07:002019-07-12T08:37:10.409-07:00This is, of course, completely wrong. Natural born...This is, of course, completely wrong. Natural born citizen is a legal term of art derived from the British legal term of art natural born subject. The meanings are analogous, even though citizen and subject are not synonymous. Natural born citizen has always and only meant born a citizen. There are no writings of the Framers to suggest otherwise. There are no Court rulings that say otherwise. Meanwhile, we have over 200 years of history that confirm this definition. You might be surprised.

If what matters is "jus sanguinis" alone, we wouldn't have the pesky problem of "anchor babies."Mariehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00003965922434128196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27654025.post-25773099843387926422019-03-01T15:24:42.856-08:002019-03-01T15:24:42.856-08:00Generally, a natural born citizen is a child born ...Generally, a natural born citizen is a child born in the country to parents who were its citizens at the time of the child's birth.
