One of my listeners, Prying1, told me shortly after the end of Sunday Night's program that the last three nights of the Political Pistachio Radio Revolution were better than anything that terrestrial radio could ever offer. I agree that internet radio is becoming a force to be reckoned with, and the last three nights of my Political Pistachio Radio show were exceptional - but mainly because of fantastic call-ins by listeners, and four tremendous guests.

On Friday Night, April 3rd, Political Pistachio welcomed Dr. Alan Keyes. Dr. Keyes discussd the importance of conservative values, and the principles laid out by the founding fathers of this nation. We discussed Barack Obama's eligibility to be president, and the questions swarming around his doubtful American citizenship. At one point Alan Keyes explains how he feels about the failures of the Republican Party, and his belief that the GOP is lost to an infiltration by Leftism. Conservatism is best saved through a third party, according to Dr. Keyes, and I beg to differ, to the amazement and horror of many of Dr. Keyes' followers. During the last 15 minutes of the program I explain why the GOP is not only worth saving, but how we as conservatives can turn around the Republican Party. After all, how do you eat an elephant? Saturday Night we welcomed two guests from the entertainment industry that have both been blacklisted by the liberal elite in the film and music industries. During the first hour we welcomed back Jack Marino, the filmmaker that gave us the movie Forgotten Heroes. The motivation for Marino's film was to put out a production that portrayed the Vietnam Veterans in a positive light. In a sense, to welcome home these heroes, and thank them for their service. During the second hour of Saturday Night's program, our guest was Steve Vaus. Some may recognize this Country-Western singer by his Grammy Nominated name, Buck Howdy. Steve, for his Buck Howdy albums for children, was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2008 and 2007. However, this is not the first time Steve Vaus has met with a little fame. In 1992, Vaus' anthem, WE MUST TAKE AMERICA BACK, was one of the most requested songs on Country Music Radio. The track was rocketing up the Billboard Top 100 like a bullet, climbing the charts all the way to number 56 when something strange happened. As Steve was put on a nationwide tour due to the success and massive popularity of the song, complaints from a handful of big-city radio stations about the conservative, patriotic nature of the song prompted RCA Records to inexplicably, and inconceivably, pull the song off the radio and off the shelves of stores. Steve Vaus' tour was immediately cancelled, and though RCA received thousands of phone calls from outraged listeners, they refused to reconsider. Steve Vaus was prohibited from re-recording or re-releasing the song for five years. While the ACLU was defending the free speech rights of artists singing about killing cops and violent sexual acts, Steve Vaus was gagged for being too patriotic. Now, with updated lyrics the song is more relevant than ever before. In this age of instant internet downloads and podcasts there is no record company or radio station that can block this powerful song. The song is available for download on Steve Vaus' Site, and Political Pistachio recommends that you, my readers and listeners, make CDs of this song, and send them to your local radio station suggesting that they play it. The indictement of Rod Blagojevich came to no surprise to Adam Andrzejewski, conservative Republican candidate for Governor of Illinois in 2010. Adam is no stranger to the political scene in Illinois, the son of a conservative Democrat, Adam's goal is to do for Illinois what Bobby Jindal has done for Louisiana. The cycle of corruption must come to an end in Illinois, not only for the sake of the state, but for the sake of the entire country. National office is not Adam's eventual goal. His sights are set on becoming the governor of Illinois, and ridding the state of the corruption that has infested Illinois (from both parties) over the past decades.
