In response to Obama's soft talk and appeasing dialogue, Iran test-fired a missile capable of striking Israel. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of Iran, desired to show the world Iran's strength. The launch is a clear refusal of the dialogue offered by President Barack Obama.
As Iran threatens to destabilize the region, the launch of the missile, coupled with the Islamic Republic's thirst for nuclear weapons, and the pending fall of Pakistan, sends a clear message to Israel.
Israel, before this launch, called up missile reservists, and has stepped up training operations in the Mediterranean Sea - evidence, some would say, that Israel is preparing for confrontation in the Middle East.
The missile test also follows President Obama's meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which time Obama urged Netanyahu to engage in diplomacy with Iran, and the Palestinians. Obama also urged that Israel accept a "two-state" solution with the Palistinians, an opportunity for statehood that Palestinians have rejected numerous times in the past. Speculation suggests that Palestinian rejection of the two-state solution reveals that Palestinians want more than a part of Jerusalem, and the peripheral territories. Palestinians desire to take the land of Israel. If Palestinians do accept a two-state solution, it will be because they see it as an opportunity to eventually eliminate Israel. Iran's missile test may give them that assurance.
