I was disappointed by the David Letterman Show audience when they laughed and applauded when Letterman admitted to having sex with members of his staff. The only reason he came out with the truth was because of an extortion attempt by a CBS producer. The blackmailer faces grand larceny charges, Letterman has bigger ratings and a clear conscience, and his wife his horribly upset.
No matter how hard you try to hide your sin, or convince others it is justifiable, it always catches up to you in the end.
When you "horribly hurt" a loved one like that, suddenly the consequences of your actions come into plain view. Despite a leftist claim of empty moral standards, whether one wishes to believe in "right and wrong," those loved ones around you may remind you that standards matter.
Hurting a loved one with bad behavior, however, may be the least of your worries, Mr. Letterman. Search your soul to understand my meaning.
