TBS Fouls Up Baseball Playoffs

By Douglas V. Gibbs

As technology improves, the strangest foul-ups appear. In the case of game 1 of the Division Playoff Series between the Angels and Red Sox, in the Los Angeles market advertisements kept starting during play, interrupting the game. Up to the fourth inning, the mistake happened three times. Then, during a planned commercial break, the whole series of commercials got messed up, and a couple advertisements did not play through completion, followed up by a momentary black screen.

If TBS, or the local tech-people for TBS, can't get it right, maybe they are not the right choice for televising an important sporting event like Major League Baseball's division series playoffs.

Get it right, or be replaced with a network that will.
