Democrat Party's Sinking Ship
Get Liberty
Yesterday morning I sat down for breakfast during the early morning hours and wrote the piece below. Last night, when I got home, I kind of got a kick out of Warren's latest toon because like my post, it described the Democrats running from the party as being rats jumping from a sinking ship.
By Douglas V. Gibbs
The Democrat Party is coming apart at the seams. Thanks to Barack Obama's very unpopular radical agenda we are seeing Democrats jumping ship right and left (mostly left) because their hopes for re-election are becoming slim. The news that Sen. Byron Dorgan of North Dakota is retiring along with Chris Dodd of Connecticut joins a long list of Congressmen and Governors throwing in the towel because they'd rather resign than be horrifically defeated in November.
Think about it. If you know how Dodd is, do you think he'd be quitting if he was certain he would win in November? Losers rarely secure lucrative lobbyist positions, and money speaks louder to Chris Dodd than sticking around as the Democrat Party implodes around Obama.
All across the board the Democrats, and progressive Republicans, are looking to take a beating in this year's elections. In the polls the blood bath has already begun. Poll numbers show Reid losing by more than ten percentage points. Pelosi's approval rating has dropped below 50%, and many experts are even saying her seat may be in danger as well, even considering how liberal her district is. Even RINO Mary Bono Mack, who last year was one of eight Republicans that voted in favor of Cap and Trade, is being challenged heavily.
In the case of California's District 45, Clayton Thibodeau is making a strong case against Mary Bono Mack. Clay is looking to defeat Mary Bono Mack in the primary, and then take her seat in Washington after beating the dismal Democrat candidate in November.
Will it be a landslide that looks to place the control of Congress back into GOP hands and stop this radical, Marxist madness?
You bet! - But only if you start supporting conservative candidates Now! And, show up at the ballot box in the primaries, and in November.
