British cargo ship "The Asian Glory" was hijacked by pirates off the coast of Somalia. The pirates have not contacted the corporation that owns the ship, yet, and reports currently indicate that the crew of 25 seems to be safe at this time.
The zone in which the vessel was seized is a high traffic area where there has been repeated acts of piracy against international shipping in recent years. In the area there is the presence of a special EU mission aimed to lessen the danger to international shipping.
