Yes, yes, I know that there are Republicans and pastors and postal workers and mall Santas all guilty of the same kind of stuff. . . but it just seems to be more rampant throughout the ranks of the Democrat Party.
Politico has a piece regarding Democrat Representative Eric Massa, who announced he will not be seeking re-election, claiming it has something to do with doctor's orders.
However, there is a scandal brewing that may be more behind his decision to quit while the quittin' is good than we see at first glance. Several House aides told POLITICO that "the House ethics committee has been informed of allegations that the New York Democrat, who is married with two children, made unwanted advances toward a junior male staffer.
A more senior staffer — Ronald Hikel, Massa’s former deputy chief of staff and legislative director — took the complaints to the ethics committee and was interviewed about them twice."
But wait! It gets better! Apparently Hoyer knew all about it!
"Hikel declined to comment about the situation, but House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) confirmed that the Democratic leadership had been informed of the allegations before the news broke."
Okay, so Rangel is unethical, Massa is unethical. . . at this rate, by the time November arrives, there won't be any incumbent Democrats left to run!
