Smithsonian Says No To O.J.'s Suit

By Douglas V. Gibbs

O.J. Simpson offered his "acquittal suit" to the Smithsonian Institute to be on display as an important part of history. Smithsonian officials say that the article will probably not be accepted. But, the item will still go to museum curators for review.

Since the Goldman family pretty much has dibs on anything of value, it took a judge to okay O.J.'s plan to donate the suit he was wearing when he was found not guilty of murdering Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.

I am guessing that after review, the suit will still not make it into the museum. People were fascinated by Simpson, and his items, during the trial, but now have no interest in anything at all regarding O.J.

When the trial was going on a few of my O.J. Simpson football cards went pretty high in value. Now, I can't give the cards away.

I hear the Smithsonian rejected Monica Lewinsky's famous blue dress, too.

Well, it's not like a Bill-stained dress is a one of a kind article, or anything.
