Turkey Earthquake 6.0 Magnitude

This morning's 6.0 Earthquake in Turkey is a killer quake, killing 57 people at this point.

More than 40 aftershocks have followed the pre-dawn quake. The largest of the aftershocks measured 5.1 and 5.5 in magnitude.

The earthquake is said to have destroyed the hillside village of Okcular, and has left the nearby villages badly damaged.

A frequent occurrence in Turkey, earthquakes are often caused by the North Anatolian fault line, which the nation sits right on top of.
