Conservative Uprising Ousts Republican Senator Bob Bennett, Democrats Abandon Hawaii

By Douglas V. Gibbs

A Conservative ascendancy is sweeping the nation as Americans realize that the Republican Party does not need to be re-branded as the moderates claim, but needs to return to the core principles of limited government, strong national security, and family values. The Tea Party Movement is an embodiment of the growing sense in this nation that the federal government needs to return to the limiting principles of the U.S. Constitution.

The first casualty of the conservative uprising is Republican Senator Bob Bennett in Utah who was essentially thrown out of office by delegates at the Utah GOP convention.

Funny, I remember hearing the lefties saying something about how the Tea Parties have no impact.

Bennett becomes the first non-conservative GOP congressional incumbent to be ousted, and the ousting has only just begun.

Meanwhile, in related news, according to ABC News in Hawaii:

"The Democratic Congressional Committee said Monday it will cease pouring money into Hawaii's 1st Congressional District special election. The DCCC is the political arm of U.S. House Democrats. DCCC has spent $314,000 to try to block front running Republican Charles Djou from winning the seat long held by Hawaii democrats."

I am thinking the only reason they are pulling out of there is because they know they can't win.

Interesting. Traditionally a Democrat controlled state, and the alleged birthplace of the President, and the Democrats have no chance to win?

November is going to be fun.
