United Airlines Approves Merger With Continental Airlines

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The New York Times is reporting that the parent company of United Airlines, the UAL Corporation, and Continental Airlines are expected to announce on Monday that they have agreed to merge in a deal valued at more than $3 billion, people familiar with the discussions said. The transaction would create the world's biggest airline.

I wonder what this will do to their habit of charging for everything except using the toilet on the plane?
